Great running backs get noticed whereever they play--that's a fact. So the idea that Brown needs a handler--some loser who's never had anything to do with football--or that is family must approach the decisin s-l-o-w-l-y and as a business decision--is all mostly nonsense. Now, I'm sure this is what his family believes, but it's nonsense nonetheless. This is what happens when the families of 18-year-old prospects start seeing dollar signs instead of the kid: I'm sure Brown and other hangers-on have convinced the parents that this is all about the NFL rather than college. You see it a lot with top basketball prospects--who will get me to the league first?

new to forum, have a good feeling about BB , i played poker last nite with one of the dbs, he said eveyone was really upbeat about the whole BB situation, he also said alot of people would be surpirsed at how improved the team would be this year.

Welcome to the board man.

Keep us informed if you find anything else out

That was alittle humor. I am not worried in the least bit regarding where he goes....as a matter a fact I would rather have 20 three stars who plays with their hearts than have 20 five stars who think the University owes them something.

i think the perception that bb puts himself above the team is something that started as a rumor and then just blew up on the internet. the thing is, this butler guy is just trying to make a buck off of 18y/o kids and families who dont know better. the kid is just tryna see what his best fit will be, give him a break. if he comes here, great, if not, good luck to him wherever he goes

Bryce Brown's unsigned football letter of intent from the University of Miami expires today. Though the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported today he won't receive a new one, Brown said today he was told by coach Randy Shannon that he still wanted Brown in Miami.

"This is what Coach Shannon told me: 'Do what's best for me.' If Miami is the place for me, they will be there. If not, they will still be there."

Brown, the City League career rushing leader who orally committed to Miami almost a year ago but continued to show interest in other colleges, said he still plans to sign March 16.

Letters of intent have a two-week expiration date and must be replaced by new ones. Adviser Brian Butler said all of Brown's letters have expired. The football signing period goes through March 31.

The Post reported, through a Miami source, that Brown upset the Hurricanes coaching staff over a comment he made about new offensive coordinator Mark Whipple, who visited Brown shortly after he was hired.

When asked about Whipple, Brown told Rivals.com, "Something tells me that his philosophy, how he does things, is not really how I like."

Brown is scheduled to make an unpaid recruiting visit to LSU next week before taking his final paid recruiting visit to Miami on March 3-5, which he finalized while talking with members of the Miami coaching staff on Tuesday.

Brown's other paid recruiting visits were to Clemson, Missouri, Oregon and Tennessee. He made an unpaid visit to Kansas State.

His recruiting has been eerily quite. Usually we have someone informing us where he will most likely head but it seems like its a toss up between Oregon, Tennessee, and now LSU.

I think our chances with Bryce are getting worse and worse at this point only to the fact that if he really knew he wanted to go to Tennessee he would have pulled the trigger by now and signed but he is still unsure of himself or just possibly doublechecking his decision by visiting LSU now. Maybe he is silently committed to Oregon and he needs to ensure that he is making his best decision.
