I've heard some stuff but I'm not sure how reliable it is. This comes from a kid from Wichita who I met a few years ago
"Les Miles is pushing hard and apparently he has made a great connection with him. My source goes to the Potential Players camps. He has for a few years and has gotten to know Bryce very well. Everything he has said has been right for a while now. From what I got talking to him last night is that Bryce is going to make a visit to Miami (official) and then on his way back to Kansas he is going to stop for an unofficial at LSU. Then maybe one and this is interesting to me at Texas.
It's supposedly down to Miami and LSU according to him though.
I have been following the saga of Brown and Oku closely, but I have come to the conclusion that we should start looking to the future. It would be great if one (or both) of them decide to come to Knoxville, but it is clear that we will be fine without them. What these delays, rumors, and indecision has shown is that neither Oku or Brown is passionate about playing for any school. Maybe I am too idealistic, but what we need this year is a few leaders who are passionate about "Running through the T". We need players who get goosebumps at the thought of wearing orange, and have no doubt about where they want to play college football.
I will be honest... I believe it was time for to Coach Fulmer to move on. The hiring of Lane Kiffin and his staff has energized Big Orange Country. But I also know that we lost a lifetime of true passion and love for UT when Fulmer left. Kiffin may create his own love affair with UT over time, but for now, we need our players to bridge the passion gap during the transition. That passion lies in the hearts of our returning players, alumni, and also those new recruits who never waivered in their desire to wear orange.
So to Brown and Oku... "you are both talented, and are both welcome to join the Tennessee family. But with each day that passes, so does my faith that you want to wear orange more than you want headlines, or want to prepare for the NFL." Little do you know that being passionate about wearing orange will give you all of these things.
Nice post and welcome to the board. I especially agree with this part. I would love to get Oku or Brown, but I think we will be fine next year with Hardesty, Creer, Poole and Williams. If we didn't get Oku or Brown either one, but got Orson Charles or Kwame Geathers, I would be totally satisfied and thrilled. Even if we just get one of them I would be fine with that, and ready to look to the future as well.
+1 i remember, not too long ago, when we werent even in the picture with this kid. It's funny how you guys put the Brown and Oku saga in the same category. It's not like Bryce was interested to coming to Tennessee before Kiffin. It really hasn't been that long and with additions like LSU and Tennessee onto his list its very understandable why he's taking his time. Oku and Tennessee have a much longer saga going on.
Plus he already set a date to announce - so stop hoping it will end when you wake up. Not likely.
Now.... if we were Miami fans - I could understand the complaining.
Here is the Interview with Bryce from a Wichita Tv station following his return from UT

Fulmer dropped the ball in a lot of areas as coach, but there is no way CLK is a better recruiter. That was one of the few things Fulmer did right.
All of those instate kids that went to Notre Dame, Alabama, and Southern Cal so they would not have to play for Fulmer? I think for the last 8 years that Fulmer's recruiting was suspect, and when it came to developing talent he had to be dead last.
