That's consistent with my recollection. It was said to be out of character for Gerald.

I think it was too, he seems like a good kid and he was very apoligetic after the incident. Unfortunately, looking back, it may have cost us some much needed size and talent at reciever in Owens. The kid will be a stud for OU in the next 4 years

Yea... that may be one guy who could have done more for us than Brown.

I said it earlier, signing brown would be like when USC signed cody (the number 1 defensive recruit at the time.) They were just off a 4-7 season and everybody thought they were a dead program, but then they got everybody's attention when they landed the top recruit. Their next recruiting class was huge and the rest is history. BTW, Coach O recruited Cody.

Maybe it has got something to do with the last name Brown?
I had a bad feeling about Marlon too, hope Im wrong this time.

That would be an outstanding finish to the recruiting season and an amazing start for Kiffin and Company.

No doubt but if not Kiff and Company have already had an outstanding finish with JJ. I just don't understand this whole thing with Oku, he decided he wanted some attention like Bryce was getting and it only served to confuse him. I'm starting to think he may be a head case and unlike Bryce, Oku isn't a slam dunk. There are way more of these "all purpose" backs that don't pan out compared to true every down running backs. That said I love the film I've seen on Oku.

Correct. I'm not complaining at all with the class that has already signed... just being greedy.:good!:

Lennon Creer is a very good back. I wouldn't put much faith in anyone trying to displace him from the number 1 spot this fall.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of both Creer and Hardesty this fall.

Either of these guys (Brown or Oku) will have to earn the starting position over those guys and that is, by no means, a foregone conclusion, imo. If Brown is half as good as his hype, he should be able to do that. Oku will have to work a bit harder, it seems.

my money is on Brown to Miami. Charles to USC. Oku to Tennessee.

That's probably the best fit for all of them. Yet, it'd be nice to see all of them in Orange this fall.

Oku should stick with us no matter what. He's got a great chance to grow and develop with the coaches we have at UT.

Brown would benefit tremendously from that coaching, but it's hard to tell if he's willing to listen.

Charles... well, it's hard to fault a guy for going to USC. Apparently, he's the smartest of the group as he recognizes the benefit of playing for elite programs (e.g. there is no Kansas State or Oregon in his final set).
