he is a mentor lik a father figure not a agent he has no connection with agents... this kid has done nothing wrong he didnt want to rush things so he decided to pull a pryor and wait to sign is pryor a bad kid b/c of it turned out well for osu... you guys are being ridiclous saying you dont want this kid oku seems more like a head case then brown but no one complained when we got him...i think you are setting it yourselves uo if we dont get him you wont get hurt which is sad

First off, I never said Brown was a bad kid. I simply stated my concern for his ties to Butler. If you need more info on this situation I suggest reading Bruce Feldman's article on Butler and his organization. Secondly, when have have we gotten either kid as stated in your post?. And finally, punctuation is your friend. I concede that I'm not the grammar police and I'm sure my punctuation may be off a little, but your post seems like one long sentence and is difficult to determine where one sentence ends and another begins.

i love the grammar comebacks you have nothing to say back so lets make fun of hsi typing instead.... i type how i want to okay buddy... who cares what bruce feldman has to say about his mentor butler if he signs a loi all that goes out the window if he is a problem he get the boot if not we got the best player in the 09 class. really no risk and only reward from my view

No. I am referring to this:

Straight from Hubbs.

I really think you are jumping to far too many conclusions on this kid, Eric. Comparing him to Pacman Jones??? This guy has no obvious character flaws. He seems very well-spoken, the flurry and activity of the recruiting process overwhelmed him and he decided to take a step back. Far more condemning actions have taken place on the part of recruits who turned out just fine. I don't think it's fair to pass judgment on a guy and compare him to cancers like Pacman Jones when he hasn't done anything to deserve it. He hasn't been in trouble with the law. Some of you are basing your opinion of this kid off of your impression of this Butler character and that's not fair. As has been stated, Oku is connected to him as well and there isn't nearly the fuss over him as there is Brown.

I just don't think it's right to bash a kid when you have no solid evidence whatsoever to back it up. The kid seems very intelligent, is very well-spoken, and neither he nor his brother have every been in any sort of trouble.

Can you post a link to that?? I haven't seen it.

Thats what im thinking. Its sad a kid can get this bad of a rap just because of his mentor.

The kid is getting a bad rap because he should be making his decision and is making a huge deal about something very simple. Pryor did it because he wasn't sure, this guy is doing it because someone wants to milk more money out of his recruitment.

when ur the best player in the country your going to get recruited by everyone and when you really have no idea of where you wanna go you hire this guy to take the burden for you. is he a little shady yes but does that mean the brown family and bryce is shady no it doesnt i have heard only good things about him and his family

And, in what way is someone "milking money" out of his recruitment?

its people like you who are giving this kid a bad rap by judging him before anything has even happend...maybe he hasent decided b/c he not sure on where he wants to spend the next 4 years of his life. have you thought of that one yet

The whole deflection of his recruiting. I just don't understand why the heck he needed this guy that's fronting his recruitment. There's something about it that screams possible NCAA investigation.

That's not exactly a track record of anything. Trust me, the NCAA has given the Brian Butler situation every bit of scrutiny it warrants and has found no wrong-doing of any kind.

Just sent you an email BTW.

While that is possible, I see no reason he didn't go to Miami in the first place. Something doesn't add up, IMO.

$9.95 a month to follow his recruitment, and that's not even Rivals.com. Shady to say the least.

Deplorable to be sure, shady? It's not like he's doing anything that isn't out in the open for everyone to see. I still don't see how that has anything at all to do with Brown's character.

Most of the time, not all the time, people align themselves with people who have the same ideals as themselves. It's not always the case, I know, but why can't Bryce tell this guy to take a hike and claim back his life.
