Actually, I do want to know what it means. Either way it goes, I would prefer to just know and move on. It's not that big of a deal.

Also, given the way that fans have injected their own meaning into news and Brown's father apparently denying a UT trip, I will prefer to reserve judgement on what his statements mean for myself.

I know you'd like to know, UT fans on this board want to know. If I could tell them, I would. I'm certainly not violating a trust for you.

Other fans can inject whatever they want to. The problem you are going to have in debating this with me is that I don't inject anything, I talked directly to the source.

If you read my original post on the events of yesterday, you'd know why his father said what he did.

It's not a redundancy fallacy when it is a logical response to various people repeating the same arguments.

A redundancy fallacy is when an argument is repeated without change in response to new points or valid arguments. Nobody seems to be making any new valid arguments.
especially you. but when someone points it out to you it's completely different. i have no problem with someone being a homer, but don't come here acting like we're all a bunch of hicks with chit for brains. the thing with message boards is you have google at your finger tips. so when you go around throwing links to logic fallacies it shows that you need your google to try and make someone look inferior to yourself. if you want to do that this is not the forum for it. this is for talking about bryce brown. not a prick showing contest where you get to use optical illusions to make yours look bigger.

Why should I revise my statement wheaton? Because you've converted me to being a super homer for the Oregon Ducks? Give me a break everyone besides you in the country knows that that botched onside kick call was THE reason yall won that game.

Is the last play of any game the reason why any team wins? Or, is it the sum of all plays, including the ones that occurred in the first quarter?

Wheaton, you seem like a decent (albeit misguided) guy, but I could site 226 posts that rejects the notion that this isn't a big deal.

It's a subject of interest. No doubt.

It's just not a big deal for me if the outcome isn't what I would like to see. Mainly because I think recruits should be happy with their decision more than fans. If Brown wants to be a Duck, he should be. If he doesn't, I don't begrudge him of that. The Ducks are projected to be a top team next year with or without Brown. So, there's a lot to look forward to regardless.

It's crazy how you just sucked me into this one wheaton. I'm done arguing I'm sick of it and so is everybody else on here.

Thank you for participating.

what about that deflected ball on 3rd and 15 that was called a pass interference?? was that a good call when u could see the ball was tipped at the line

I don't remember that play. It could have been another bad call that went in the Ducks favor. My argument is simply that bad calls happen. We can't enjoy football if we speculate the outcome of every game based on bad calls. We should accept that they could happen at any point at the game and potentially influence the final outcome. So, teams should try to win by more than 1 point. :)

Ahem... Bryce Brown anyone?

With respect to RockTop 16 who gets a pardon because of his allegiances, no own gives 2 squirts of piss about a blown call in an UO-OU game of years past.

i apologize but i always wanted an oregon perspective on that call i had had my chance. but i got my answer back to bryce

VSPN was BB kinda pissed or very pissed about what happened? Is he still on good terms with the individual whom might have spilled the beans?

Wheaton, your a special guy, and just to make you feel better... Oregon is a special place too. They have some tradition and they have really stepped it up a notch recently so kudos. However, comparing Oregon to Tennessee is like comparing apples to oranges. (no pun intended) As Tenacious D has pointed out, UT is far superior to Oregon in nearly every category except the uniforms -congrats btw-. So, enough with the whining and bickering and hopefully come Monday everything will be sorted out and everyone will be happy in one way or another when this whole saga ends. Have a wonderful evening.

Thank you for the kind words. But, you're not addressing the argument I made. Namely, that past accolades are great for fans. But, don't do anything for current players if no accolades are achieved while they play there.

I know you'd like to know, UT fans on this board want to know. If I could tell them, I would. I'm certainly not violating a trust for you.

I totally understand why you can't say anything and I'm not asking you to.

The problem you are going to have debating anything about this is that you have already committed to not revealing your basis. I'm not debating that you know something we don't. I'm just saying that I'm going to take your implied conclusions ("you wouldn't have any reason to be here", "you don't want to know", etc.) with a grain of salt until I can learn what your basis is.

I did read your posts and I don't see where anything you've written affects his fathers statement. Maybe I missed something there. But, it looks to me like it contradicts what you have said.

I don't think you are a bunch of hicks. I imagine some of you are. But, then, some Oregon fans are too. That's just the way things go with big populations of people.

I only point out the logical fallacies in the hopes that we can advance the discussion beyond arguments that don't hold up to scrutiny. Maybe there are other arguments UT fans could make that would be more compelling.

VSPN, when this is said and done i want u to write a post with all the info u did know and all that....i will find that very interesting.

Sorry VSPN, I hate for you to have to repeat yourself... but what happened wit the dad? I couldn't really find it...
BTW, Thanks for everything!

VSPN was BB kinda pissed or very pissed about what happened? Is he still on good terms with the individual whom might have spilled the beans?

He was very pissed, by the time we were done, he was calmed down. Alot.

And I'm not going to even begin to speculate about the second part of your question. That would be totally out of line.

I totally understand why you can't say anything and I'm not asking you to.

The problem you are going to have debating anything about this is that you have already committed to not revealing your basis. I'm not debating that you know something we don't. My conclusions aren't implied. I KNOW the answer. I'm not guessing. It was told to me.

And if you read my post, and you understood, then you'd know why his dad is denying it.
