The kid may be a good kid, but I question why he is hanging with this guy. The NCAA has already investigated his "handler". If he comes here, this puts the program at risk, because his handler is already on the radar. Here is the article that was in the Wichita Eagle newspaper:
NCAA investigating Bryce Browns advisor Brian Butler

An NCAA investigator has visited Wichita to talk to coaches and players about the role of Brian Butler as an adviser to Bryce Brown, the countrys No. 1-rated high school football prospect who has yet to decide on a college.
Brian Byers, Browns former coach at Wichita East, met with Mike DeCesare, NCAA assistant director for amateurism certification, on Thursday. And on Friday, DeCesare met with Wichita Northwest coach Weston Schartz and another player who had trained with Brown, Colby Duranleau. Duranleaus mother, Karen Powell, also was at the meeting.
All I can say is I have talked to the NCAA and I cant comment on it, Byers said.
Schartz would not reveal details of the meeting at Duranleaus home, and Duranleau did not respond to an Eagle request for an interview. Duranleaus mother told the New York Times I dont feel comfortable tinkering with their investigation.
Duranleau, a senior who has signed with Coffeyville Community College, trained with Butler at one time but does not now. Butler said Duranleau stopped training with him when Butler began to charge for his services.
I cant really say what we talked about, Duranleau told SI.com. I guess he just really wanted to talk to me about Brian Butler. Thats about the only thing I can say.
My relationship with Brian started out positive and ended up kind of negative. I cant elaborate why it turned negative. Thats kind of one of the things that we talked about.
Butler was with Brown on a recruiting trip at LSU on Friday and said he had not been contacted by the NCAA.
Im definitely disappointed, but Im not surprised, Butler said. Bryce is the No. 1 player in the country. They just want to make sure everything is on the up and up. Thats not a problem.
Butler told the New York Times: If the NCAA comes, then Ill give them any information they want and thats available.
Friday, no other high school coaches with players training under Butler said they had been contacted by the NCAA.
The NCAAs amateurism certification investigation is different from its enforcement section, which often examines the recruitment of high-profile players. It typically looks at the amateur status of prospects before they enroll in college and likely are trying to determine whether Butler has done anything to jeopardize the amateur status of Brown or any of his other clients.
At one time, Butler was charging readers for Brown recruiting information on his Potential Players Web site. He has since ended that pay service.
