Bryce Brown Announcement

Just saw this on VQ..not sure if it has been posted....

Here is Bryce Brown’s take on his visit to Tennessee of Friday, as per his handler, Brian Butler, on his Web site:

“It gave me a better feel on what the players looked like on the field and how the coaches communicated with the players. This was a benefit to see them scrimmage, because I wanted to see the new Tennessee brand of football,” the top-rated player in the 2009 signing class was quoted as saying on potentialplayers.com.

“… I am not leaning to any school at this time. I will go back home and spend time with my family, and continue to pray for God’s clarity when it comes to my decision.”

There was no mention of Brown’s welcome to Knoxville, which included UT fans chanting his name as he exited Neyland Stadium.

“I didn’t hear that — and I didn’t set that up” Kiffin said with a smile following Friday’s practice.

Let me begin my analysis of Brown by saying that the tailback from Wichita (Kan.) East High School is one of the most unpredictable and difficult-to-read prospects that I have ever covered and I have no idea where he’ll end up playing.

Now, with the disclaimer aside, I’ll take Miami in a close race over Tennessee, although I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up with the Vols.

I don’t read a lot into the fact that Brown’s parents didn’t make the trip to Knoxville, other than they might make a late push for Miami so their two sons can play together. Brown’s older brother, Arthur Brown, plays linebacker for the Hurricanes.

I also don’t put too much into Brown’s surprise trip to Knoxville this weekend. Tailback David Oku took a similar trip to Auburn then signed with UT.

OK, I’ve changed my mind, I think Brown will sign with UT. Well, wait a minute … let me think about this one.

Ah, forget about it. Ask me on Monday at about 2:05 p.m. — just after Brown has announced his decision.

It had been posted but in the old BB thread.

Hubbs and Low were talking about Brown tonight and one of them asked "should whatever team gets him prepare for the NCAA setting up shop in their city to investigate him and his handler?" I think Hubbs said that he doesn't see that happening because of the teams who are still recruiting him... I thought that was kinda funny

What does that mean?

I REALLY CANT BELIVE THAT WE HAVE A CHANCE TO SIGN BRYCE AFTER ALL THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME THING THEN WE WOULD REALLY HAVE EARTH (HARDESTY) WIND (CREER) FIRE (BROWN) OR ANY ORDER YOU'D LIKE

Where is Oku in this mix?

That no one else seems to be any concern from the other schools about it (it being possible investigation)

Wow that was poorly worded... Hubbs was implying that seeing as how other schools haven't backed off their recruiting shows that there isn't concern from them about it.
