Bryce Brown Announcement

I think the lsu rumor is just that-- a rumor..

Also, doesn't that concern you will, that he hasn't been out west since the 7th of November? Or has he taken an unofficial visit since then?

No it doesn't. He has a great relationship with our new head coach Chip Kelly - he calls Chip almost daily... He's ALWAYS made sure to say Oregon when he listed the schools he was interested in, even before recruiting even picked up. He always lights up when he talks about Oregon, his close long-time friend Harper goes to Oregon so it's been on his mind for a year, we had a great season last season, which he watched because of his friend, etc... There are so many factors that lead me to believe that Oregon will seriously be considered when he chooses. But at the same time, I will not be surprised at all if he donned an Orange hat come Monday.

I along with my son were at the practice last night. FWIW I thought Bryce was not all that interested in what was happening on the field. He only stayed about 15 minutes walked outside and returned only to walk across the field to leave. Not a lot of people even knew who he was. The chant started when a couple of guys noticed who he was when he was walking across the field. He was right in front of us the first time he was on the field and you could hear people asking who this guy was who's that guy. That sort of thing.

you are wrong on this, he sat with the other recruits in the stands off to the far right for a good half hour . Bryce only exited the field when it started to rain. Even then he and a few recruits stood under an awning on the home side of the field. Bryce was still lurking on the field during the practice closing prayer.

No. His parents need to sign it too, and they were absent from this trip.

Will, I don't know if you saw my post asking you if it concerned you Brown hasn't be to Oregon since November. Or has he had an unofficial visit since then?

I agree! Should be fun. Two programs with new head coaches!

Could have been faxed...

Kind of a stretch to get the document, leave campus to sign by his onesies, fax it to his parents for them to sign it, and have them fax it to him or the school. But, not outside the realm of possibility. Unless of course there's a requirement that all parties involved in the signing must be in witness of each other.

The parents could have signed it and sent it with Bryce to deliver to the coaches. The press conference Monday could be a formality.

You make so much more sense than Wheaton. I'm worried about Miami more than Oregon, but like you say I think Oregon is still in this thing. LSU is out unless the rumor is true. KSU is probably out too.

Never no, he could have signed the papers before he left home...if he already had his mind made up that is...
Nevertheless...it will be a big disappointment if he is not wearing an orange hat come Monday...
