And what should he have done? Laid down and waited to be raped like the past few seasons? I still can't remember him saying "this year"... maybe he did. I just remember his saying something about singing Rocky Top all night after beating UF.

You can be aggressive without embarrassing UT on ESPN...Win , just win, let that do your talking...

Right now, the entire world is eager to watch Kiffin fall on his face... People don't like arrogance and cocky mixed with a bunch of folly...he is a good looking guy, rich and has the UT job at age 33...largely in part because of his dad's success...let's be honest here.. he hasn't done jack, but run his mouth so far. People don't respect that kind of leadership

You can't be writing that with a straight face considering the egos of Miles, Spurrier, and Saban and the outright narcissism of Meyer.

Yes, CLK is cocky... but he does it with a smirk, a laugh. It is a game to him to play with people's heads. Meyer takes himself THAT serious. CLK suspected then drew him out and proved it. Now we'll see if he, and others like LSU for that matter, can use it against him.

I hate that he made the mistake about the phone call rule. It would have been more effective if he'd just said "A certain coach was calling like an immature jealous girlfriend"... or something along that line. Meyer would have reacted just as badly without it reflecting badly on CLK.

He has to learn not to say what he is thinking

Why's that? His players are more excited than they've been in their UT careers. He just signed the #1 recruit and finished a top 10 class in his first year (like Saban did). UT is getting attention... and yes, recruits like schools that get hated on.

Right now the entertainment value just went thru the roof when UT and UF play, as well as BAMA and LSU...and UGA...oh man, it's going to be awesome

Well think about that apex... Had CLK come in like you apparently think he should have, what are the chances that ESPN/CBS would have considered the "entertainment value" worth televising with UT coming off a 5-7 season?

The veteran coaches are going to enjoy the opportunity to give out some humble pie..

Why do lions kill the offspring of the previous pride male? To eliminate potential rivals before they grow up and become dangerous. They were going to do all they could to destroy him anyway.

It' s the new kid on the block calling out the bullies at school. These bullies have great resume's, can Kiffin back it up? Or is he going to get run?

I don't know if he'll win or lose but what he's done HELPS, not hurts, his chances.

And those bullies in the backs of their minds have to be wondering if he can back it up... again, that's after not thinking of UT as a serious threat previously.

Kiffin has successfully become the most hated coach in the SEC, with zero victories and in 3 months..

You say that like you think it is a bad thing for UT. The Yankees are at once the most loved and hated team in America.

1) All the great players still want to go through NY to get their World Series championship.

2) They are still a media focus.

3) They are still the most successful financial team... and the biggest draw at opponents stadiums.

Les Miles is not a good example. That guy is a jackass. I go to Georgia Tech and was at that game. What an ass. He did a fake punt LATE IN THE 4TH QUARTER while being up by a large margin.

They did a close up on that ugly face of his and he had that stupid grin on like he had won the lottery. He pretty much did that game because everything went well for them anyway.

I wish he wouldn't have gotten those 8 wins this season because he wouldn't have gotten that huge bonus this year.

Well, people underestimate Miles as a competitor..But he is very respectful to all programs....

We had rough season and everyone and their momma said GT was going to run LSU off the field in that game...

Herbstreit called it a lock prediction GT over LSU easily

Miles was making a statement...We're LSU . I can see how GT fans might be ticked...sure it was painful to see a fake punt

You know UT handed Miles the biggest comeback loss to date....21pts....his first home game...

The bowl game final was 38-3, so it isn't that bad when you consider what can happen...and on that possession we punted 3 plays later..the fake got us nothing but some clock

Where's Posivol at? How many student athletes did we end up signing that were not interested in us at all with the previous "regime"...give CLK and his staff some credit. This has been a recruiting phenomenon and everyone has to agree with that.:rock::dance2::rock:

How many times did he fake punt when he was up that muc? Thats what I thought, he was running his O, a fake punt is not part of LSU's Offense

USC has won 6 Pac 10's in a row

they have no title game...

He should not have said it...I wish he hadn't but he said what all of us think..the Pac 10 has 1 team every year

Is it easier to make the MNCG from the Pac 10 or the SEC?

He still ackowledged that USC was the best team in the country or one of top teams every year, which they are....

I've enjoyed the back and forth and learning more about UT in the process. I think Brown is the real deal and obviously a huge get.

Well. USC has been quite possibly the nation's best team the last three years. LSU made the big dance with losses to crappy Arkansas and Kentucky teams. You tell me. And USC hasn't lost an out of conference game in a million years, despite playing one of the toughest OOC schedules every year, something most SEC teams avoid like the plague.
