Straw man
So it was 10 percent, then it was 8 percent, and now it's 1 percent.
Yeah, great point guys. Keep pulling numbers out your asses based on scientific studies...like seeing the ramblings of a few lunatics on Twitter.
That's not what I'm saying at all. What are you talking about?
Depends on the government. Fiji declaring war on us wouldn't be much of a cause for concern.
Militant Islam had declared a holy war on the world
OK, but that's still a far different problem than a government declaring war on us. It's not comparable.
Far different? Not Comparable? Absolutely, it's a whole new dynamic. They've no sovereign country or territory to invade. Like rats or roaches that appear from wherever inflict damage and casualties and then just as quickly disappear back into the woodwork of society
Straw man
Just about every world leader has agreed that ISIS has declared war on the Western World.

I wonder if Belgium's president believes that today's attacks were an act or declaration of war?
We promise the countries taking part in the coalition against the Islamic State that they will see black days in response to their aggression against the Islamic State," the statement said. "What's yet to come is worse and more bitter."
This is why I said it is convenient. They wage war, and disappear back into their communities, and 'no one sees or knows anything'. Not at all a straw man. You choose to ignore the obvious. Their "religious" leadership is complicit by turning a blind eye. But then again, I am sure it is possible for them to know absolutely nothing about their congregation.
I'll give you that. That is why the holders of those beliefs and ideas must die. This will never end. What I do find somewhat amazing is that a relatively few number of *******s are able to inflict so much damage. The locals have to stop protecting them or this will go on forever. The straw man was that he was implying I disagree with the idea that ISIS has declared war on the world. I don't really care about that for the purposes of this discussion. ISIS is not a government. That is the point. We can defeat governments. We can't use our military to defeat beliefs and ideas.
I'm not talking about threat levels, I'm talking about the nature of the threat. A government is an opponent you can defeat. There are beginnings and ends to war with opposing governments. Terror is a tactic, it's not an enemy. The war on terror won't have an end. It will always be a threat, and we are not able to reduce the threat. It appears the last 40 years have made things worse.

Terror tactics have been used in almost every war fought in the 20th century by governments and partisans alike, it can be defeated. However to defeat the brand of radical islamo fascist terrorism we see will take brutal measures. Just leaving them alone and abandoning the region will do nothing but embolden them.
