Brussels Terrorist Attack

So, to recap, you basically think the proportion of people who think suicide bombing is sometimes justified is:

Muslims: 8%
White Americans: 0%
African-Americans: 0%
Hispanic Americans: 0%
All other Americans: 0%

Jesus. People don't understand context at all. As soon as you see something that might justify your paranoia, just jump all over it.
When somebody below that top group starts blowing up **** with any regularity come on back and we'll talk about it. I'll bet you $10,000 that the top group will do it again before any of the others.

8%?!! It probably scares the **** out of Muslims that the majority of American think it's cool to use drones. Our government uses terror tactics, too, and here we are pointing the finger at Islam because 8% of a specific demographic isn't concerned about collateral damage.

Why do Americans think it OK to use drones? Is it for the same reason islam think it OK to use suicide bombs?

(We value life. They value death) It's that simple

Are you seriously trying to argue that a sizable percentage of non-Islamic Americans support suicide bombing?

And what context are you referring to? 220,000 Muslims in the U.S. support suicide bombing. Do you think the 8 percent figure will drop to a negligible amount if we continue letting in Muslims?

The numbers of Muslims who support violence and suicide bombing in Europe (which is significantly higher than in the U.S.) suggests that wouldn't be the case.

Death is death. I don't care if I get killed by a suicide bomber or an American drone. You are focusing on your fear of the tactic, not the result of comparable tactics.

We have 300 million+ population in the country. 30,000 gun deaths occur each year. This is a small percentage of deaths. Why do we worry about gun laws? Should we spend any time worrying about gun deaths?

Should we start counting bodies? Collateral damage at the hands of the US vs victims of Islamic terrorism?

You're not going to like the result.

It IS a huge deal. It only took around 20 Muslims who supported violence against non-believers to kill thousands of Americans on 9/11.

And how would you feel about 8% of Muslims supporting violence when the number of them in the U.S. reaches 8.1 million?

A new estimate of the U.S. Muslim population | Pew Research Center

Hypothetically, it only takes one. If every one person with outlandish beliefs freaks you out, you must be constantly paralyzed with fear.

Hell, if I'm Muslim (I'm not), and live here but have relatives in Pakistan getting hit with drone strikes, I'm living in a country where 58% of people are okay with the murder of innocent civilians who look just like me. And that's 58% of a country of more than 300 million people. But let's talk some more about how 8% of 8 million is so terrifying.

How many suicide bombing deaths occur each year in the U.S.? Is it 30,000? Great point lol

Intentionally targeting civilians with no conceivable military/defense purpose is obviously comparable to droning, at a minimum, suspected terrorists plotting ways to do harm to US civilians while attempting to avoid "civilian" casualties:crazy:

The result is what matters. Hundreds of thousands dead in Islamic nations because of our government. We're this pissed about 3,000 dead on 9/11. Imagine how pissed they are?

Who Counts? Body Counts, Drones and "Collateral Damage"

They should have moved to another country is they take issue with what we do.

I mean we police our own nuts. Is Westboro or the Bundy ranch sending folks over there to blow up mosques? No. We take a responsibility and police ourselves.

They both have the net result of killing innocent civilians.

Would you be accepting of the target if suicide bombers started targeting American military men on American soil?

Was refering to your use of percentages? Sorry you didn't get the reference.

You're comparing a number of people who believe something might be justified in certain circumstances (and are ridiculously unlikely to act on those beliefs) to actual deaths. Sorry you don't understand how stupid that is.

Not to mention he's comparing a domestic problem to a national defense/foreign policy issue.

I was merely applying statistics from differing situations to show the affect they have on the people involved vs the people not involved. Thanks for the "stupid" comment.

You're literally more likely to be killed by tripping and falling in your own home, or by getting hit with a falling coconut, or by choking on your food, or by scalding yourself with hot tap water, than you are to be killed by a suicide bomber in the U.S.

FEAR EVERYTHING!!!
