. What a terrible disease. I saw my grandmother decline so much and eventually die from Alzheimer’s. She could no longer recognize me still bothers me to this day she’s been gone 15 years now. I pray and hope we find a cure some day. Prayers to Bruce and his family he was always one of my favorite actors.

It was a joke.

I will die on this hill. It is a Christmas movie. I think if you just watched the scenes where they're playing Christmas music or the scene includes Christmas conversations or visuals, you'd be kind of blown away by how Christmas-y it really is. And then they even weave the theme into the violence, which is a match made in heaven.

Now, I have a gun. Ho Ho Ho.

No. There are Christmas movies and there are movies that happen to take place at Christmas, but the holiday itself is completely inconsequential to the plot of the film. Die Hard could have taken place at any other time of the year, and it would've been the exact same movie! I love the movie! Its a top 5 action film for sure! But a Christmas movie it ain't! Its like saying Gremlins is a Christmas movie.

Agreed. It's a great movie. It's just not a Christmas movie.

So to be clear, Home Alone is not a Xmas movie?

Christmas is consequential to the plot in Home Alone though. The family left for Paris because the trip was a Christmas Gift from a relative. The robber's motive for working that neighborhood was they knew a lot of families would be out of town for Christmas. The whole reason the mom couldn't get back to Kevin was because of the travel backlog during the holidays. The plot of Home Alone wouldn't make any sense for any other time of the year. To try and tell it around another time of year would've required a big chunk of the plot to be rewritten. Its not remotely comparable to Die Hard, which literally could've taken place at any other time of the year and its the exact same movie.

It's a home invasion movie. You could totally find a way to get a kid at home vs. burglars outside of the holiday season. They fkn did it in 3 Ninjas, LOL.

Christmas is no more important to the plot than it is to Die Hard, where they had to find a way to get a NYC cop into an exclusive party at a high-rise in LA with his estranged wife.
