Bruce Springsteen=Super Bowl Halftime Show

How about this, instead of a multi billion dollar halftime show where the performer is just there to collect a paycheck, have some champion high school drumlines perform, or a couple of champion HS bands.

Just because a big paycheck is involved doesn't mean that's the only reason the performer does it. Nobody wants to watch Drumline during halftime, that's why that will never happen. I know it may be hard for us diehard sports fans to realize, but the halftime show is part of the event and a reason many novice and non-fans watch.

I understand the marketing behind bringing the aging musicians in for the halftime shows. It certainly makes sense to market to the age group of the people buying the tickets and the majority of those watching the game.

However, I am no fan of Bruce Springsteen. I would much rather see Johnny Cougar.
