Bruce Pearl loves Bruce Pearl. If he loved UT he would still be here. Why not celebrate what we have since he was able to miraculously defeat the guy who invented UT basketball?

That man bleeds orange and I can't think of anyone I'd be prouder to have represent my program. Bruce holds Bruce close to his heart and I doubt much else....guy says one thing as does another..he was warned from the UT admin about cheating and he did it again anyway

He was fired for lying not cheating. The alleged cheater is currently employed as our head coach. I find it to be hypocritical for everyone to say f Bruce cause of this or that he deserved to be fired, then say I hope we stick by Donnie. Can his ass too after the allegations. I say f donnie too.

That's the spirit. My gosh.

Bruce was fired because he got a 3 year show cause. If he had lied and not gotten the show cause, them he would still be our coach. Tyndall has shown to be a very good coach, and I don't understand why people want him gone, too. I don't believe Bruce is coming back, and UT deserves a good basketball coach. That line of thinking just baffles me.

I liked Pearl. I hated how he handled things at the end. I don't have a need to remember him as if he was Gandhi. I'm not hard to figure out.

Read the thread. I'm not the one that brought it up.

I agree that it doesn't mean much. But people have got to get past this weird messiah complex they have over Pearl.

Then he was fired for lying to the NCAA and UT, simple as that. Bruce was fired for being stupid, and there is a chance our current coach is shown the door for cheating to an extent far worse than CBP.

The things these guys have done are part of recruiting college basketball players. You have to play the game, but you can't be dumb doing it. If you want Buzz Peterson, then I am sorry. If Tyndall doesn't get a show cause like Pearl, then he needs to be our coach because so far, he has shown to be a good one. Again, Pearl would still be our coach even though he lied and cheated...but for the show cause.

The thing is, it doesn't even matter. Whatever nuance you want to use, Bruce made himself radioactive. Tyndall will be the head coach until he becomes radioactive or doesn't win enough..

And that mentality is why we have 9 scholarship players and will be looking for another coach this season. Personally, I'm sick of an investigation every damn year, and people writing it off as vendettas and well everyone does it... See you in the next coaching search thread...

No matter the FACT I use, the hypocrites that want the university to stand by a cheater, and condemned pearl to hell for lying are the idiots that represent this fan base in a horrible fashion.

He never would have even been investigated if he had turned himself in for a secondary violation which he knew he should have done. Not doing that was his first lie
