I just finished watching the THE UT vs Texas highlights even though I saw the game and have watched the highlights several time...i digress. but at the end when Bruce is being interviewed by Jay Bilas (new vol love interest) and just talked about how great a team effort it was and then when Jay said, "Happy Holidays. I hope Santa brings you some more orange suspenders." But the best thing was Bruce's response- "Santa just gave me the best Hanukkah present. GO VOLS!" and puts up the No.1 finger.


Tennessee basketball needed this man so much. He makes all the difference and should be in the running for coach of the year this year.

I think the Vols would have to make a little run in the Big Dance in order to get Coach of the Year honors for BP. But I love BP's energy. It is exciting to watch on TV. I love when he throws his jacket around and gets on the refs. Such a difference from our previous coaches in recent years.

He is an absolute blast to watch coach!

(Just FYI, Coach of the Year voting happens before the tourney begins)

I was surprised he did not win every coach of the year award last season.

I didn't watch the game at work, I watched the highlights on line on espn but couldn't hear cause my speakers dont work on my computer which sucks. I didn't realize Bilas was so tall at least he looked tall next to coach Pearl in the interview.
CBP is the man.

No doubt - Coach Pearl was an excellent hire. He seems to be the entire package - recruiter, coach, etc., and he has the Vol faithful thinking seriously about men's basketball. Go Bruce!

we can compliment one coach without insulting another...especially one with a national championship ring.:yes:
