I hope Slive does weigh in on this hire. We get Bruce and Slive and the SEC pays off the outstanding balance on the payouts for previous coaches. It's a win win situation.

There's 2 sides to the cheek issue...1. Cheek doesn't want pearl here. It goes without needing a detailed explanation, but we all know he doesn't. 2. Pearl doesn't wanna work for cheek. There's still a lot of trust issues and ill-will between the two.

It's important to a hc to be able to trust his ad, and more importantly president. According to that article hamilton wanted to keep pearl but cheek basically said fire him or i'll fire him and you. At the end of the day hart could tell pearl everything he wants to hear, but as long as cheek is hart's boss i see an issue.

Well aware of RPI. I'm not arguing Bruce isn't the better coach. Track records speak for themselves. Would I rather have Bruce than Cuonzo, all things even.. Yeah. But everything isn't even.

No because Bruce is good for business, and UT and the SEC need coaches that are good for business.

Any true fan of UT Basketball would support Pearl returning if Martin is out. Pearl is the most successful coach at UT since Ray Mears.

Sorry if you can't see that Stokes didn't get the ball the last 11 minutes of the game with multiple Missouri post players in trouble. Sorry that you can't see I'll timed timeouts when we are gaining momentum. Sorry that you can't see that there has been no apparent offensive strategy or defensive strategy for that matter. Sorry that you can't see that we have one, perhaps two NBA prospects, a ton of experience, and we are still playing our way into the bubble and likely out of the NCAA. If you can't see any if that, there's no help for you. Even Martin's most adamant supporters are coming around.

How about telling us why Martin is doing a good job and why he should be retained.

You mean like Clay Travis, Dave Hooker, Steven Pearl etc...all who's word has been taking very seriously when they're talking about Bruce returning?

Not really a big fan of letting Slive dictate who we can and can't hire. It amazes me how things that have transpired under his watch at Bama and Auburn get swept under the rug but he comes down hard on us.

I thought u said that steven said his dad would not be coming back......I dont think anyone claimed bruce would be back bc travis or hooker said it would be a good idea that he be brought back.
