& I'm behind him 100%!! It's not like he gave kids financial benefits or helped a kid score higher on his test to get into school. Yea he shouldnt have lied to the NCAA but atleast he came back & told the truth. This will motivate our coaching staff & our players!! You can either get behind this team & staff or whine like girls about it! Go Vols!!!

I'm 100% behind him as well. Only thing I'm questioning is "when" he felt he made a mistake and wanted to do right by informing the NCAA.... I "hope" it was before he found out the ncaa was going to send a letter of inquiry. If that's the case then it really shows pearls character, and should be noted by many.... if he waited till after the fact it's a little worrysome. IMO... Either way I support him 100%.

Go Vols!

I'm not quite as enthused as you but I do think he should get a chance to redeem himself considering where the program was before he got here. Hammy however, needs to go. Not having the guy around that hired them would help keep Dooley and Pearl on the right path...and who knows, maybe we could finally rid ourselves of Raleigh too.

It's going to motivate the staff they cheated, lied, got caught then grew a conscience? Interesting.

I'm behind the team and players but Pearl has a lot of trust to earn back. He very easily could have been fired and likely cost Hamilton his job.

Another reason to love Bruce.

Just a curious thought about all the Hamilton hating going on on this board...do any of you who call for him being fired or say that he will be fired have any idea what you're talking about? or is it just you talking from what you've seen? I'm seriously curious about the answer...not trying to be a jerk, but I haven't heard much from anyone that actually has anything to do with the mans job about him being fired or whatever.

Lets see. The football program has gone to sh-t, his hire of Kiffin was a disaster, Raliegh has been a disaster and now his crown jewel of his tenure has slapped the fans, school and Hamilton in the face.

Lol at all the people who don't understand how this could help motivate the players. Did none of you see any kind of difference after January 1st this year? It's called scrutiny, and we thrived on it last season. DUH!!
