TN will win 2 out of the next three, and all this talk will disapear.

(if TN drops the next three, however, then 25% may be right).

Says the Florida game was a watershed moment.

Says there was no shame in the UGA loss but that Dooley can't lead the team to a win against any team of consequence, and that that is unacceptable at UT.

He says he would have thought Dooley would be able to get at least one meaningful win in all of his years of coaching.

Mississippi State is not going to save Dooley's job. The jury is still out on them.

Says if we beat Miss State but lose to USCe and Bama that it is a very unimpressive 8-4 and the powers that be would see that things are not working out.

He thinks Dooley has a 25% chance of making it out of 2012. That the only reason Dooley even got the job is because we were in such a bad situation.

Says a "pretty good coach" in the SEC will get beat a lot, and Tennessee expects to be a Top 10 team.

Says short of putting a scare into Alabama or beating USCe, Dooley's not gonna be around.

Says there has been too much losing and shoulder shrugging at this point.

That's the opinion of 1 talking head and I doubt he knows the player roster situation.

Press just trying to start more drama to have something to talk about IMO.

I still think that with even 7 Wins CDD will be here next season.

VFL...GBO!!!

just listened... SPOT ON! He said what we truVols have been saying all along... he might be a decent coach... he's made the program better than what it was... BUT is he going to take Tennessee back to the elite status... A top 10 program... the answer is a resounding H3ll NO!

I agree with everything Feldman said. I also agree Dooley has a chance to return next year, but those chances are slim if he doesn't beat someone he shouldn't.

It was a very realistic breakdown by Feldman and I'm a posivol. He's right in that beating MSU and the nobodies in November but losing to Bama and USC will be an unimpressive 8-4. However, I'm not sure Hart fires Dooley if that plays out and UT is 8-4. I would bet 8-4 gets Dooley another year.

Hopefully the coaches and players find a way to win those games and upset Bama or USC, 9-3 with an upset over one of those two would be really good for recruiting. UT is close to landing some elite players like D. Green, Vonn Bell, Toby Johnson, Marquez North and others. 9-3 will likely get Dooley an extension and those elite players will come to Knoxville and the negative recruiting about CDD's hotseat will go away for the time being.

On the flip side if UT loses to Bama, USC and another game then Hart likely makes a change. Won't have much of a choice. JMO

Should be an interesting month ahead...

If Barbara Walters mentioned on The View that she didnt think Dooley could get the job done, they would post links and proclaim victory

No. Stay on track. Bruce Feldman, a well respected sports journalist said this stuff. Not Barbara Walters.

He's just a negavol right? Or maybe he is an unbiased outsider looking in at the situation and has formed an opinion that you and the other posiDools disagree with.

not looking good.

Feldman has no skin in the game....he and Danielson both know that Dooley is in over his head. Dooley may be a good coach...but he isn't elite. Takes elite to win in the SEC.

I couldn't agree more with him saying the Miss. St. job shouldn't save his job... Sadly, you'll have doolaiders on here screaming for a 10 year contract if we eek one out in Starkville. He needs USCe to save his job (and of course to win out the last 4 too)

Not sure if Dools will get it done. But no coach in America would be winning at Tennessee over the last 3 years. No way. Not many teams in America are going to beat Florida and GA. No one will beat bamer so why would he expect UT too. Hes clique but not logical....
