Brown/Oku Comparison

Bryce Brown & David Oku. Remember the "Cobb-Webb" (Reggie & Chuck)? If these new guys can render results like those two, then the Vols will be terrific. I've great confidence in CLK & this coaching staff; the players will be "Coached UP"!
GO VOLS!!

I would love to think that one of these guys could win a Heisman, but the odds are against all of them. The trend is leaning towards quarterbacks, but we don't have a single Heisman caliber quarterback. It's a beautiful thought, but lets be realistic. BB could be the best back in the country, but if we don't find a QB, they're just gonna key up on the run and shut him down no matter how good he is.:dunno:

Peyton didnt win it because Peyton never beat the Gators. Comparing the best runningback to come out of high school since Adrian Peterson to any of the old Vol backs simply dont make sense. Like it or not, thats the truth.

A National Championship might be a more realistic goal than a Heisman trophy. You just can't be a one dimensional player and win a Heisman unless your a quarterback. Running backs and defense can win you a national championship, and we have those two little requirements, as well as the potential to be a great special teams group.

Well lets see... they both enjoy long walks in the park, taking in the fall colors, and generally unleashing havoc on opposing defenses. What's not to like?

Well its not like Charles Woodsen deserved it more than Peyton did.

I agree but Woodsen was the best player on a team that went undefeated and won a National Championship. I don't consider myself a big time homer but ESPN did lobby for the corner and it payed off for him.
