Have a good time, scream until you get a headache and lose your voice. If the Vols win you’ll have a great show. Two of us have never even been to Tennessee.
We are really excited to cheer on your Vols but we have never been to Knoxville or Neyland before! Looking for can't miss food recommendations if you don't mind.
Go Rocky Top!!
Make sure you check what section you are in. It's a checkerboard Neyland game.

Where on Chapman? My grandparents were on John Sevier off Chapman in Woodfield Park on the right when you turn off and head toward Strawberry Plains. Corner house on Konda and Karla when you go in. (I think those names are right. Been a long time since I pulled in to see the house. Don't get that way much since grandma passed in '07. So many memories there growing up and into adulthood. My granddad had a full page write up in the News sentinal when he died in '01. I've still got that article somewhere. Been meaning to try and find it and put it with the other family history stuff on my dads side. He was a navy captain sea bee, TVA enginer, and big in local and state wildlife conservation, especially in East TN.My grandparents lived off Chapman hwy for my whole life. Both my parents went to Seymour HS in the 70s. Have eaten at Ye Olde for my entire life on special occasions or when we went for steaks. Good memories.
Seconding Big Ed's Pizza in Oak Ridge, 35 min drive if no traffic from stadium area, but if you want to eat the pizza as soon as it hits the table bring your own knife and fork (they provide plastic but its crap), pizza's too hot to eat without burning your mouth. And if it's a Friday night expect a longggg wait.i lived in Knoxville for 26 years before I moved last year for work. When I come back, the restaurants I have to go to are Yassin’s Falafel House and Tuk Tuk Thai. If I visit my mother in law in Oak Ridge, a trip to Big Ed’s Pizza is a must. If staying in west Knoxville, look into Seasons and Connor’s.
