Brooks commit pushes back plans to sign

Handley HS (Roanoke) is in Auburn's back yard so his delay could be telling should Auburn land Freeze or any other noteworthy coach. Never really understod his attraction for UT because normally any high ranking player from that area is UA or Auburn bound. Pruitt's uncertainty is wreaking havoc on the upcoming class.

I think he’s waiting to see what happens at Auburn before officially committing to TN. Then again he could be waiting to see what happens at TN too

Just remember reports like this will give a ton more ammo to other schools to go after him before he signs. They’ll tell him how bad and uncertain TN is and why he shouldn’t come here and go there instead. It’s a game and these are 18yr old kids

He literally said Pruitt was the reason he committed to UT in an interview. He has a good relationship with him. If Pruitt is fired Brooks will most likely be gone.
Did he recently state he liked Pruitt ? Liking someone and thinking he is the guy who will produce a good program and get him to the NFL are two different things.

Could just be that wants to wait to see who his coach is going to be before signing with Tennessee. Could also be that another school has gotten his attention amidst our struggles and wants to take some more time to weigh his options. Regardless, the early signing period needs to be put to rest once and for all.

Sounds too much like Cade. Get rid of Pruitt now. Oh wait. Not happening. Freeze will be at UCLA after Oregon takes back Chip, and Cristobal goes to Auburn.

I think Pruitt and the trajectory of the program is the reason he is waiting. He is likely to go elsewhere if Pruitt stays.
Remember back before the season started and you busted my balls for saying I wasn't completely sold on Pruitt..... well i saved you a seat and a can coke welcome aboard brother! Lol

Nope a couple months ago. I just remember seeing the response on a loop in his thread. Maybe things have changed. Either way if Pruitt is the main reason he committed it’s not good. Trust me I’m no Pruitt apologist. I’d be ok with starting this class over completely with a coach like Freeze as opposed to retaining it and seeing another season of Cornbread Gump

Yeah, I thought Pruitt (hoped) was still the guy. What is frustrating is if he was just smart enough to bench JG at least by game 4 then we could be 5-4 or 6-3 and not many would have called for his head. He let his decision on one player destroy this season and the program for several years.

It's between us and Maryland he says. Is there any way under the sun Maryland has the facilities close to what we have at UT?
