Broncos release former #Vols punter Britton Colquitt

Same thing happened with Succup (kicker for the Chiefs) last year.

How is he not Colquitt good? Have you checked the stats of both guys? He's better than Colquitt

I love that Colquitt is a VFL and would want him on the Titans, but Kern finished last year # 4 of all punters. Colquitt was number 12. Wouldn't make financial sense.

Kern finished better than Colquitt in 2014 as well.......

Yup.....Denver was trying to get him to agree to a 3 year extension with no guaranteed money. This was just a salary cap cut

Titans also punted 1000 more times than the broncos and the broncos had a lot more short fields

This will not be popular, but don't be surprised if Dustin Colquitt and Eric Berry are no longer Chiefs after this year due to their expensive price tags as well. There has been a lot of talk here in KC that this could be it for EB because $11M for a safety is a lot and that is a position with depth for the Chiefs. I hope this isn't true because both guys are so important. Dustin can change a game quickly with field position. EB is considered the leader of that defense. I hate the business side of the NFL.
