She's still chirping away. Vague generalizations. Hostility to the Lady Vols Coach with no indication she has sought clarification. It's a bad look for a former Lady Volll.

It's cheap. It's easy. It's using negativity to try and look smart. And if it all goes wrong? "Hey, I'm just so happy the Lady Vols did so well. I'm proud of our players. You know me, LVFL!!"

And if the season doesn't go as we all hope? "See? I told you. She's just not holding up Lady Vol standards."

It's easy. It's sensational. It's ********!

No one cares what she thinks. She is not one who I would tell a daughter to look toward for guidance on life choices.

Nobody cares what she thinks. Hasn’t had any credibility in years. Her life is one personal drama after another. She needs to focus on herself.

Brittany is the drama queen of all time. Think she has come close to jail a few times may have even spent a few days in there. Really don't know what her angle is maybe trying to drive a following of some kind. She is someone you would definitely ignore.

If she ever makes it clear that she’s a) asked to speak with the team or b)has personally spoken with the coaching staff about this “standard” issue she seems to have & was rejected or blown off then whatever but these generalizations or complaints kinda fall on deaf ears. Anyone care to guess who her LVFL guest she’s gonna talk to about all this soon could be? Anyone relevant or na? lol

Nah. It’ll be one of her random peers we all have to google to remember.

I’m sure Brittany means well, but it was a bad decision to do this.

I believe our players are doing the best they can and, for the most part, are doing a great job. They understand the Lady Vol legacy as well as any young women their ages could. Brittany has the advantage of hindsight, which makes everything a heckuva lot easier to understand.

The finger wagging is cringey. 😖

I think the thing for me is, she comes off as “better than” in these articles. She said in this last one “she didn’t expect anyone to be Pat”.. But she kinda is furthering that narrative. These kids aren’t the LVs of yesteryear either & she shouldn’t expect them to be. I think she thinks things should only ever be one way, despite her saying the opposite. It’s just sort of virtue signaling in this case.

I do find it interesting she only started doing this with Kim. Not once did she have any articles to write with Holly or Kellie, and Lord knows the stability of the program wasn’t great under them, Holly more-so then Kellie, of course. She sounds bitter and she quite frankly needs to keep her mouth shut. I think she has an agenda and it’s not a good look for her and that’s all I’ll say.

She was very outspoken about the coach being a LVFL.

I for one am glad we moved away from that. I love all our former players but we really don’t have any lighting the world on fire in the coaching ranks. Kara would have been the only option and she seems to hate her Alma mater sooooooo

Well Danny white said about Kellie Harper
Love to have at another university.
But this Tennessee.
Think that was close what he said?

I noticed the gun signal situation. Zee, from the bench, made a Ja Morant move after a 3 was made and CKC immediately grabbed her hand.

I am sure Zee won't make that mistake again but I am sure it felt like a natural celebration for Zee (perhaps without fully realizing the broader implications). Some of this stuff is no so pervasive in sports culture and the broader culture, it is hard to police everything.

The times have changed. There is not way that CPS could be coaching into todays enforce the no exposed Tattoo rule unless her players are willing to wear burkas for games.

The fact is that players are now perpetual free agents and that changes the nature of the player-coach relationship.

But if Brittany Jackson is going to go on about "culture," then at least mention Ruby's dismal which was clearly CKC drawing the disciplinary line.

But does Brittany Jackson have the "right" to comment on the LVs via her substack account. Hell yes she does. Having had personal problems does not disqualify her from being a former LV who follows the sport and the team.

More than a few on this board (including myself) have commented on how CKC has been complaining that the players are not implementing the game plan and that is a little worrisome.

I think that seems ot have improved but this game will be a good test of where the team really is at.

Personally, I think she has every right to comment about all things "Lady vol". She has walked the walk and knows what a Lady Vol player should strive to be. IMHO. you peeps downing her need to calm down.

👀 and to be honest the things she is calling out aren’t wrong. There is rarely cohesion. there isn’t a lot of hustle. When things go wrong they don’t dig out the trenches often. Where is the leadership ?

The things she is saying is being said by other people including former lady vols who helped build this legacy.

And i say all this not as a fair weather fan because i still wanna see this team at the top! But some of the stuff we see won’t cut it.

now here’s hoping we take it to Bama !

Certainly has an agenda which is a dumb one at that. In the last one and a half seasons, this program has achieved more in terms of winning games, recruiting, and reinvigorating the WBB program back to the national spotlight than we’ve seen in about 10 years.
The recruiting has been great. The energy of the players and coaches have been program changing despite a tough schedule and a large graduating class following year 1 with an infusion of 5 elite (3) McDonald’s All-American and top 50 recruits.

I think she’s playing to the blue hair crowd. Definitely farming engagement. It’s what “influencers” do.

Right. I take a lot of flak on this forum that’s for sure and continue to call it like I see it. Coach Caldwell and these players all 15 last season and 13 this season plus the coaching staff have reinvigorated the most historic WBB program of all-time.
And I’ll go out on the limb and say I am picking this team to compete for a SEC and National Championship this season.

Im sorry, but the notion of Brittany Jackson of all LVFLs, being in cahoots with the (long since dead) blue hairs is just beyond hilarious. On the list of things that never happened . . .
Don't know, but maybe they meant today's blue hairs.

Might be off topic, but was sad to read that study showing correlation of blue hair dying with self-reported depression. Some of my favorite cashiers have been of azure mane and cornflower coiffure. Hate to think that their ready smiles might have had blue roots. Guess we never know what people are dealing with in private.

100%. She didn’t like that the hire came from outside the family and has been negative behind the scenes since. Was incensed when Kim, while 8 months pregnant, didn’t spend enough time at a former player reception and went on a tirade in a group chat with many players from the 2000s in it. When several former players of various eras basically told her to shut up, she decided to launch this blog. She’s entitled to her opinion, but that’s the place it’s coming from.
