Bristol Motor Speedway updates

Alcohol will be sold, it will be the same as a bowl game. You just cant take coolers of beer in like a NASCAR event.
Not sure if they are selling beer but it clearly states on Bristol site alcohol or coolers prohibited. Yes I have done that at a Bristol race but you can't for this game.

Has Va Tech sold out their ticket allotment yet? Needing to buy tickets. Hoping I could find some cheaper than what StubHub is offering

Rather play it at Neyland -- dont care for neutral site games unless its a bowl game or the SECT game

Well, there are reasons why they are doing neutral site games. And they have been discussed here before.

But in case you missed it:

1 A big payday for both schools by special sponsors.

2 They are being set in key recruiting areas for the program.

3 The Vols have to pay the city of Knoxville a big entertainment tax that is yet to be abolished for every home game. But for neutral site games, they don't get jack.

(Mikey won't like it...He hates everything.)

I bought 10 from their ticket office last summer, paid the balance 2 months ago.

You're not the only Vol fan I've heard doing so, but I've heard some were turned down for not being Hokie alumni or Hokie club members, and some weren't really even asked so I don't know. I do know when we played them in Atlanta out of 68,000 there, maybe 10,000 were Hokie fans and we bought up all their tickets. I assume the same this time. They are fired up about Fuente and had around 45,000 at their spring game, but they barely ever sell out their 65,000 seat stadium. I'm 10 minutes from Blacksburg and I'm sick of hearing the UT hate.

I feel your pain, I live in Bonsack (roanoke). They never asked me about hokie club, they just took my order.

This is my first post on VN. I have been reading this site for 5 years or so without signing up. I married a VT alum this year. She claims she could care less about what happens during this game, but I'm going to be traveling with a few of her friends that claim we are equally talented. Its laughable when they talk like this but I've grown up in Hampton, Virginia (home of Vick, Tyrod, etc) and know how to deal with them. The Dooley years were the hardest to deal with them because we were struggling.

Anyways, I wanted to let everyone know about (Rallybus.com). The bus leaves close to Blacksburg and travels to the game and leaves after. You can drink on the bus. Its $50 but I suggest reserving soon. This saves on parking and most other over priced amenities. Plus it will be nice to not be the only one rubbing it on the way back!

Is that included for the $50, or is it extra?

I wish I had known, when I found out it was too late. What section you in? Also how much were the different price levels for tickets?

We are in the Pearson terrace, they were 109 a piece after tax. That was the 3rd level price, i originally signed up for the 140 seats but got bumped down.

Not true.. TN has an income tax. The Hall tax is alive and well

Apples to oranges my friend.
Who do you know that has mentioned or
complained about the Hall tax?.
Never in my life have I ever heard the average
Tennessean mention this tax.
The Hall tax applies to interest income from bonds,
stocks, and notes, it is not a payroll tax per se.

A state income tax would be like giving everyone
leprosy.
Once it gets voted in, you will play hell getting
rid of it.

The last year I worked in a neighbor state that had an
income tax, my tax liability that year was $1400., and
that was ten years ago.
Wonder what it would be now if I was still working there?.
Piss on a state income tax.
