It's there and has been forever. Yet I don't know a single person ever ticketed from it

There have been lots of people ticketed. Just ignore it if you get one.

I've never been to a Bristol race so I'm not aware of the traffic patterns throughout the week (I'm sure it is hell). I'm curious as to how much delay I should expect leaving from Knoxville at 5:00pm EST on Friday evening.

I would leave earlier if possible.

Its been said, but its true. Bristol does a damn good job getting people back on the road.

They've done this a time or 12.

I laugh at all the concerns too. This place routinely saw crowds close to this size twice a year until 2008 or so.
You might not be able to jump directly on the interstate like in Knoxville but 81 and 11 are both within 10 miles of the track. You'll have an interesting mile or so on Bristol highway and 394 that gets interesting but after that it's pretty smooth sailing.

Never gotten a ticket from a camera. Those things are set to be triggered at like 11 mph over the limit, and they're kind of hard to miss lol

I think Mt. Carmel has like 6 months left on their contract so theyll be non functional soon.

I doubt you make it in the track before kickoff leaving at 5. Traffic will be awful.
