Never could get a connection after the race started. I was however able to place a call during Friday's race.

It's not.
I've taken a NASCAR fan and friend of mine to several races there.
I'm sure several people on this website have been there. It's been really funny listening to those who haven't been, tell those who have, what the view will be.
There's always a certain amount of horse manure spread on this site but the blind trying to convince everyone else on what color they will see, has set a new standard.

I'm going, but more for the spectacle and to say I was there, the view will be terrible. The closest fans will be as far away as the fans are in the upper deck in our stadium.

It is funny to see other fan bases bash this for being done when I have been to the race as it is in my back yard for many years. It is not as bad as people are making it out to be. Like they would not have taken the game to be part of history alone. Here is a photo of the furtherest away

1) cars are bigger than people.
2) the track is much closer to the fans than the field is.
3) everyone will be watching colossus.
4) wish I could be there.

I will be so glad when this game is over so the freaking debate on whether its a good place or not will stop. So what. If you cant see watch colossus. If you dont want to go, dont. Ive been a season ticket holder for Bristol for 20 years and been to the races there for close to 40. I dont need anyone who hasnt been to tell me what my view is going to be like.
