Bring Fulmer and Chief back

So what we have is better? Your probably one of the devoted fans that thought getting rid of Fulmer would be a good thing. Not working out so well is it.

Keeping Fulmer would have been a good move? That's rich, of course it was a good move to get rid of Fulmer wake up.

I thought we were watching Chavis' mustang defense tonight. Let the opponent march up and down the field at will - maybe they will make a mistake. I don't want any more of that stupidity.

The Warden? You wanting to go back to being ranked number one again.....as outlaw u? Don't want any more of that stuff. We would have been better off shutting football down than letting all the under the table crime go on under the clapper.

Really? I need to wake up? Again, how well is it working out?

Please tell me how this is better.....I'm begging you to give me one ounce of proof that this is better, one just one....thats all.

If trends had continued under Fulmer and he was still head coach we would be looking at competing in SECC this year.

Fulmer stopped giving a damn about recruiting and we started going down hill fast. He got canned and we got a good hire in Kiffin, reguardless of him leaving there was no way of knowing that would happen. Fulmer's complacency is what started this whole sucking thing we are doing now. Hamilton botched the hire after Kiffin and has prolonged it, but keeping Fulmer would have been just as bad or probably worse considering the recruits were not there any more.

Don't get me wrong I realize this isn't a legitimate option and I I'd be pissed if we fired Dooley and rehiring Fulmer was the best we could do.

With all that said I'd make a trade now for Fulmer/Chavis for Dooley/Sunseri and wouldn't hesitate.

Yes, the fact that Fulmer had a losing record against every decent coach in the SEC surely suggests he is the one we need to stop the bleeding. Nothing like having NFL draft picks by the bushel and winning only 2 SEC titles in 16 years.

I'm not writing this to defend or even discuss Fulmer, but doesn't Dooley have a losing record against every current SEC coach not named James Franklin? Or am I crazy... At least the ones he has faced...

Like I said above I'm not supporting a return. Not only is far from the top of Dooley replacements, he's not even on the list.

With that said I'd take him over what we got and wouldn't hesitate. He at least beat the big boys every once in a while.

Again, what we have now is better? No matter how you try to justify it, it was a bad move, period! Like David Ligon stated on the radio this evening, be careful what you wish for. At least we had a chance with Fulmer and Chavis. What do we have now, again? Do I really need to point out the current coach's record? How is it working out now against decent coach's in the SEC at this point?
