Bright spot for 2021 recruiting class

Pruitt didn't waste an initial counter and scholarship on a long snapper this year. Why so many coaches are still dumb enough to do that is beyond me. Hell, we got an elite kicker this year as a PWO, but we can't do that with a long snapper? It's harder to find a good kicker than a long snapper.

Of course, the last two long snappers we've wasted scholarships on were Lovingood, who ONLY snapped on punts because he got beat out on kicks by a walk-on and Albrecht, who tried to lose the SC game by bouncing a few, so our long snapper has been a walk-on ever since....and he's been just fine.

Need to check out 2021 long snapper Will Spain from CBHS in Memphis. He went to IMG this year (senior year). Great kid and leader. Would give his left arm to walk on at UT. That would make snapping difficult but Vols should check him out.

I don’t understand why some people waste threads on long snappers either.

Hold on there Bobalouie. I was a long snapper in HS and I was somebody. I mean, I accounted for more tackles on punts than the wide outs and really was someone till I got married. Then my wife told me I was nobody. But, I once was a long snapper and somebody.
