Hate to borrow CBJ's quote, but we need to take this rebuild a step at a time. This was a great moral victory for us. We won the 1st half. This game showed that there is not a talent discrepancy between the teams. The only difference was the turnover battle which we lost in the 2nd half. Georgia's offense struggled to move the ball against us even when we were missing our top DE. We had some big plays on offense against probably the best defense in the nation. This was a victory for us.

I do think that 1st half was a good statement. Much better than the last 3 years...and certainly better than recent UF games.

UGA is just vastly more talented still, like it or not. Baby steps.

The only difference is whatever you have been drinking to come to these optimistic conclusions. We totally sucked in the second half, -1 yards rushing for the total game with our 5-star offensive line, 3 turnovers thanks to our great QB and whatever. We should not be getting blown out by any SEC team in Pruitt's third season. I don't need to hear any more excuses for Jim Chaney and Will Friend and this dismal offense that can't hang in there. The second half of this game was inexcusable. Look at how Kiffin's Ole Miss team challenged Alabama with less talent than us IN YEAR ONE. Done!

That was a step back. You can't count luck towards improvement. We got curbstomped.

The rebuilding line is old and tired out. We are in the 4th iteration of a 3rd year rebuild. Meanwhile Kiffin goes toe to toe with the 2nd ranked team while being laughably outmanned in year #1.

I’m sorry, but with all due respect, GTFO with this nonsense.

I stopped reading there. Anyone watching this game and thinking these were two teams even in talent has no clue.

Some of you guys invest a little too much into this---game. It is not your identity. Say it with me, 'when the football team loses, that doesn't mean I'm a loser'. There, feel better? Just enjoy the game and let it go afterward.

Georgia is a hotbed of recruiting and they get their pick of the litter. Our starters are roughly equal, but we have a much bigger drop off after that than Ga does. Give it time.

Not a talent discrepancy??? LMFAO! Georgia literally has had four straight top 3 recruiting classes while we have averaged around 15. We lost today because of the talent discrepancy plain and simple. The problem is Pruitt wants to play a similar type of game as Georgia but we don’t have the horses to compete with them yet. College football is about the Jimmys and the Joes more than the Xs and Os. That’s why the same 5 teams are always on top.

Georgia had 431 total yards Tenn had 214. Tenn had 3 turnovers where Georgia had 2. The game wasn't even as close as the score. It really should have been 44 to 7. This was in no way shape or form any kinda victory for us. We was out coached and out played in every aspect of the game.

You're 100% correct sir. The excuses are null at this point. Ole Miss just gave Alabama all they wanted and more. We have 10x the talent Ole Miss has. There is nothing to look at as being the difference but coaching.

It will be interesting to see how Alabama's offense does against Georgia's defense. From what I saw today- I think the teacher loses his first game to a pupil next week.
