Brice Brown struggling with pass protection

Should this be a concern for such a highly rated player?

Here is hoping kiffen can coach em up. He may done bit off more than he could chew, this is the SEC and our pirates are real not like them Oakland pansies.

If he don't beat one of UF, UGA or Bama this year we will go by and kidnap his animals. Kind of hard to know what to root for at this point depending on the kind of livestock the mans got.

Brice Brown needs to get a dad gum education on the SEC, we have real men in here who never fumble and who chop block D ends so their knee bones bruise their hamstrings.

HS running backs are very rarely good blockers. I would not worry about that. He seems as an outsider to be kind of cocky, certainly he doesn't have the class that Eric Berry has. I would be more concerned that he played weak competition in HS and that he may have a bit of an attitude.

Since you know him so well, thank you for your valuable insight.

Yeah... cause we know all the Gator players are meek and humble.

Quit bashing on Brown. Gosh he is a freshman high recruit. Ppl are gunning for him to make him better. No one comes in without problems....NO ONE! He will be the best back in TN history. The hard hits wil make him push harder and earn respect from team mates. Team chemistry is what makes a team great not athletes. Anyone who has ever played the game knows this!!! Hard work beats talent anyday if talent don't work hard...

Oh NO!! Jamal Lewis circa 1997. Just Kiddin!! He "supposedly" didn't know the pass protections thus he didn't see but like 3 rushes in that Florida game thus killing any chances of us winning. Were we really going to win with a split back set of Shawn Bryson and Mark Levine? LOL ....Don't worry. Kiffin will make sure Brown AND Oku sees the field. They are too good!!

Christ, what the hell is it with you guys? Did you really expect him to do everything in 3 days? I hope this is sarcasm, but I'm not even sure anymore.

No kidding man...Guys, Give it a break already!...These kids haven't even practiced a damn week yet and already people are complaining and whining about stuff that doesn't even matter yet...Imagine that, A FRESHMAN missing a block :mega_shok: Maybe We should tell em to transfer somewhere else then...My god the horror

And who knows, Maybe justttttt maybe We'll find out who this KIFFEN fellow is and sue him for having a player named BRICE like our head coaches name who by the way is similar....KIFFIN and his players name is BRYCE....Get with the program people, Your reading too many gator boards or something, Those morons can't get it right either.

Give the kid a break. Were not winning any national titles this year. I'd settle for a competent offense and a team that leaves it all out on the field.

I am a little sad that I am so new to the boards that someone thought my post was serious. I can spell and English is my first language. Thanks

This whole thread is funny, jokes and people who do not get them.

I never claimed to know him, but it is common knowledge that he has handlers and an entourage. There were many articles written during his and his brother's recruitment discussing their "mentors." He burned so many bridges in his recruitment how can you say he doesn't have an attitude.

And I am not claiming Florida players are any better this thread was discussing Bryce Brown not Florida.

The players and coaches have all said that he is a good hard working kid. Discussion over

This is a classic example of not knowing what the hell you are talking about, but speaking anyways. My younger cousin is on the team. Bryce does not walk around with an "entourage" anymore than any other popular football player at a big time D1 school does. The coaches and his team mates all have had nothing but great things to say about his work ethic and commitment. You are letting slanted recruiting articles from writers at schools he spurned form your opinion of someone you know NOTHING about. Period.

And to the jack arses on here getting "worried" about true freshman players (BB or anyone) not being good at certain things.....they have only had FOUR DAMN PRACTICES in College so far.....seriously.....let that sink in a minute. High School to a big time D1 school is an absolute HUUUUUGE leap for anyone. They are not going to be all world from the 1st day. Good Lord, quit nitpicking these 18yr old kids and let them get at least ONE practice in full pads before you start throwing yourselves off a bridge cause you think they are already a bust. The rush to judgment by some on the board is simply amazing....and pathetic.
