Hahaha I like that. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I know his name on facebook is Brian "Big Baby" Williams so apparently he is a fan of it.

My personal favorite nickname I've been trying to spread is calling Wayne Chism "cheese" because half the time he looks like someone told him to say "cheese" with the big grin on his face. I've been trying to develop some sort of science-related nickname to explain how that headband stays on his head too...if there are any suggestions or other good nicknames for players please post them...

Hell's Halo
The Onion Bulb
The Cranium Suspenders

My favorite quote about Brian Williams was when Bruce Pearl said, "I liked him 100 pounds ago"

Leave Brian alone. Gheez, you gotta give him credit for losing all that weight and at least trying to do something with his life. For not playing in high school, I think it's pretty amazing that he was able to get a scholarship to a Div 1A school.

Hamer - Long time, no talk old friend. Haven't seen you around town lately. Hope all is well. (This is Jepperson from the arena)

Brian Williams is a hard worker. He may have stretches when things aren't going right, but he plays as hard as he can, it seems, every night. I love that he's on the team and love the effort he gives.

B-Dub in the german voice from the commercials is one nickname I've heard before.

Wow I didn't know there was this much hating going on towards B-Dub. Give him time, he has the tools to be a presence inside. I will admit he does play a little slow.

I can only really speak for myself but I don't think anyone is really hating on him. I think for being a Freshman with no high school basketball experience he is a damn good backup. He can only get better and that's exciting. I just personally think it's really fun to assign funny nicknames to players so I can gripe at them during games. I love screaming at "cheese" for his hail mary he throws each game. Speaking of which maybe I should add "The Priest" to his list of nicknames...

Goooooooood, I hate when Chism jacks 2 or 3 threes in a row. One every once in a while is acceptable but come on man.

His percentage is USUALLY so bad that I'm still pissed even when he makes one (I mention in mid air that he will probably make it but it's still a bad shot). I don't think he should have the green light like he does. Take 1 or 2 wide open 3's a game, but lately he has been taking them while covered.

Tennessee's ability to upset Memphis may hinge in part on Chism's ability to hit them, and not brick them.

Continuing the slide off topic I'm very conflicted on Chism out there shooting 3's. Obviously he wouldn't be doing it in every game if he didn't have Bruce's endorsement.

Granted some of the shots he takes aren't the best shot that we need at the time but that can be said for any player.

I think he hits enough of them to make it worth the threat. When you can have a big guy that goes that far out and can hit shots or atleast poses the threat that really forces the defense to spread out. Which could lead to a decline in rebounding having our big guys up top but I feel like if Bruce could just get them to follow their shots we'd be fine.
