Chaney probably would let it go but there is one problem, he dont have an actual QB to work with. JG cant read a defense ,dont know how to check down,cant throw a simple screen pass and has not one clue where the 1st down markers are located,slow as a turtle ,so he cant scramble. Cant pick up who is blitzing. But what he can do is throw it behind the line of scrimmage when its 3rd and 4 ,he can find a wide open opposing player easy. Other than that ,he is pathetic. Keep up with his stats when he transfers to a lower level school

He May make some big mistakes but he has an arm enough to actually let us use some of the talent at WR.

I am just happy he pulled the trigger on the change. Here is the deal, he said JG was the better player in the spring and fall practices. I believe that. I believe Maurer is a kid that plays better than he practices based on that. Say want you want about CJP but he doesn't water down his message. I don't fault him for playing JG but JG is clearly broken on game days. CJP seems to have seen that.

Offense playing their hearts out. Defense has a lot of rough edges. Maurer playing a great
game. Good experience for him 😁

If you can feel better about a team after a loss, then I do. No..this is NOT a moral victory. I do not believe in those. It is a loss. But, I have some hope for the rest of the season. Maurer will make mistakes. Yes. But he also will make some throws. The playbook will open up more for him. Passing game will help the run game. But he should have cemented his spot as QB1 at present. Better pocket presence and throws a nice ball.

Had a movie night with my family. Turned game on late in the 3rd and saw we were getting ass kicked as expected. Looked at stats a little bit later. Saw Maur was under 50%, had a pic and a fumble.... glad we got this QB thing ironed out so we can move on to the next problem on the team.
