I agree. I fully expected Maurer to start the MSU game.
I thought they might go one more game with JG to avoid having Maurer get his first full game against a juggernaut. No one we start is going to make a difference in tomorrow's game.
I like the move for the very reason you state. Let him get some experience against a really good team instead of throwing him in against Mississippi State for the first time. Perhaps the experience he gains tomorrow will help him handle adversity as well as improve in the next start. Perhaps the team can rally behind him and play with more focus and intensity going forward. I don’t care if he throws 3 picks tomorrow as long as he shows some fight and sparks the team.

Littlevol take your bow!
They should NEVER go back to JG. He's not a good place holder. He's not a the leader the team needs. I think Jennings at QB running a pure spread option offense would be a TERRIBLE idea... but better than going back to JG.In Pruitt's eyes yes. They are looking for a spark. Let's hope he can provide it. If not then JG goes back in and Bailey comes next year. Nothing to lose by giving BM a chance.
Hey man.... 1vol8 was giving props to your prediction 2 weeks ago. JS.@tatervol.
I think I speak for almost everyone, in that we just want to see progress on top of potential!
I'm satisfied at least one person acknowledged what I prognosticated.
I'm good with that![]()
It's gonna be interesting to read all yalls comments when Maurer throws 4 picks before half time tomorrow... Lol
