Just listened yesterday to an interview Chris Childers had with Eric Berry from SEC Media Days. During the interview, Childers mentioned that Brent Vinson would not be with the team this fall. What's Vinson's status? Did Childers mean to say Morley?

As of right now. Brent Vinson is on the team. Dennis Rogan is not the sure deal though

I thought I read somewhere in the original "Vinson Basilio reporting" thread that he was gone.

Oh well, I still feel comfortable with having Ma. Johnson starting at CB... He has that Rod Wilkes blood in him!

Hooker wrote an article just 6 days ago about Vinson if IIRC. So if this is true the radio station broke the story very quietly. I will wait until practices start. This Tuesday all will be revealed.

I asked Brent Hubbs today on VQ about both of them. This just pertains to their class stuff though. He said that Vinson is doing well, but Rogan is the one that is in danger. They are keeping a close eye on Rogan, but it doesn't look promising.

We just need Vinson for one more year. If he can please please keep his head out of his *ss, then the new Freshman have time to develop and he is no longer such a big loss.

Rogan WILL be on the team in the fall. Whether or not he plays depends on where his head is at, that is the main concern. This according to a source withing the academic side of the athletic department.

We need both of them. It's so frustrating. Morley was the real killer. We would have had the best safety tandem in the country. Maybe still do (Berry + anyone = best safety tandem). Having that experienced talent in Kiffin's system would have made all 11 play better. Too bad. These 2 need to keep it together.

Thanks for the info. Vinson had a heck of a freshman season playing with one shoulder. I hope he can get it all together.

I highly doubt Vinson will be on the team come September.

Hubbs reported that Vinson says he is in good standing including academics. Vinson and Evans have the potential to be outstanding. Throw in Rogan(Looks OK) and M Johnson and the DB's are deep and talented.
