Brent Schaeffer

I hope they have. And, I hope he takes it. That way We know that for the next two years UF will have a subpar QB. One that is great running, but couldn't pass his way out of a paper bag. And, making reads and checks, hahaha, yeah right!

The reason I asked, was that it is reported on one of the Bama forums, from someone who usually is "in the know", that Schaeffer is claiming an offer from UF.

That's your opinion. And, that is all mine is too, just an opinion. But, I saw a runner-thrower (not passer, just thrower) when he was at UT. His stats were not impressive and more importantly the way he looked was not impressive. He is an amazing athlete, but he just does not have the intanglibles of a "quarterback." He doesn't have the precision on his passes and the understanding of reads and checks.

Somewhere i read that was BS talking, confirmed rumor.
BS is not going to transfer to any SEC school where he would have to sit behind a Sr waiting on the job, thats why he went Juco this season rather than sitting out a year in D1.

What SEC schools are looking for someone after this season?
(willing to chance him)
Vandy
Ga (possibly,but doubt it)
Bama??
Ark
Sc
Ky

Does the term "snowball's chance in hell" mean anything? :D

Vandy? LOL

Is that a joke? He didn't even attend class when he was at UT. There is no way he would get a flyer at Vandy.

That was Ga's point. I dont see BS back in the SEC as he would like. You know the kid isnt going to go to UF and sit behind Leak.
I only listed SEC schools with out a QB or looking next year. I think even Ole Miss has Lane and some Freshman they are excited about.

Who cares about BS? The way I look at it, he got what he deserved. Just another athlete taking advantage of their blessed opportunity and blowing it all away, b/c he thought he was above the school's conduct code.

UF certainly does not need no stinking BS!!!

We have Leak and when Leak is gone we have Portis who is Meyer's recruit from Cali. BS is certainly not coming to UF and UF certainly doesn't want a former UT thug on its campus.

Leak will be gone after this season. He would be crazy not to declare for the NFL draft. The longer he stays in a system that is entirely wrong for him, the worse he looks to the pros.

And then enters Josh Portis an 18 year old true freshman right now.
Personally, I don't think Leak will declare for the draft this year, but I could be mistaken.

BS is alot better than people think. You can claim his stats were subpar, but come on, he shared playing time. He was a pretty good passer, I don't know what some of you guys are thinking.

And mexjunkie, you need to watch your mouth about the thug comments. That is not liked around here.

Every school has thugs on their team. Why are you offended about a player that has already been asked to leave your school after misrepresenting your school and injuring a fellow member of the student body?

BS is more of a qb than what we're working with right now. As far as the "intangles" go, does Ainge have them? The truth is they ran the kid off cuz he didn't want to move from qb to wr/kr/etc. I'm glad he left cuz, he would not have developed under the coaching we have now. Ainge is making the same mistakes he made as a freshman, and by the time he leaves- he'll still be making those same mistakes unless someone coaches him. Kinda similar to Tony Harris under Jerry Green- 4 years and absolutely zero progression.

Florida has evaluated Schaeffer but has not offered a scholarship.

Now craigb 702 - schaeffer was not "ran off" as you say for the reason you give. He was asked to leave for various reasons including getting out of bed at 4 am and instigating a fight, not attending or being late to class, not attending or showing up late to position meetings, not attending or showing up late to team meetings and functions, not putting effort into learning the playbook. Schaeffer was a sulky immature kid who wanted everything given to him.

The best thing for Schaeffer and UT happened when he left.

Schaeffer has been offered by Florida and right now that is his top school. Jevan Snead out of Stephenville, TX is also a dual threat qb they have commited. Besides florida, Schaeffer's list include Ole Miss, NC State, and Wisconsin. He has a visit with ole miss very soon. I think its between florida and nc state.

He needs to look at Leak really careful (injuries based on taking too many hits) before going to Florida. He will have MUCH more success at NC St.

Guess I'll just interject here that I don't care where he goes or what he does. He had his chance at U.T., blew it, so to me, he's irrelevant. And if he goes to a team we play, so what?
