I have massive respect for any man who changes from a job they love in order to spend more time with their family. Good luck Brent and hope you're successful in whatever field you go into

I appreciate the kind notes. I have enjoyed my time off, but am also enjoying all of the work that I am now doing. I have been given a great opportunity to do evening shows at 104.5 in Nashville when evening slots are available. They carry the Predators, Monday Night Football, Vandy basketball, etc... So it averages out to two or three shows per week. Usually it's a 7p-9p central time deal unless the show falls on a Tuesday which will have us from 9p-11p central.
It was toughing leaving 1510 and all of the great people I worked with there (Duncan Stewart, Patrick Blankenship, Tom Peace, Tom English, Clay Hunnicut, Rich Davis, Chris Romer, and too many names to mention.) I love all of those guys and respect their talents immensely.
However, I am excited about my new opportunity and am honored that 104.5 would bring me in. From Mark Howrad, Kevin Ingram and Frank Wycheck in the mornings to Darren McFarland, Willy Daunic and George Plaster in the afternoons and all of the other talented hosts and personell sprinkled in, it is an amazing station and I am extremely proud to be involved. The next show is this Wednesday, 10/30 from 7p-9p cst.
Thanks again for all of the kind notes. I appreciate you guys. Also, check out the Dougherty Diatribe weekly on volnation.com. I also do play by play for Fort Campbell high school football on friday evenings at oldies1480.com. It's a bunch of very special kids, many of whom have parents serving overseas. Some have even lost parents, but because of strong leadership from the head coach Shawn Berner and his very talented and caring assistants to the entire community, the kids continue to grow as young men. They also win. They're 8-0 and ranked #1 in the state. They have won their last five games by a combined score of 245-16 with four shutouts. Check 'em out! Thanks again, Brent.
