BREAKING: WVLT reporter Chynna Green reporting UTAD John Currie has been fired.

Let me get my work gloves and change my clothes. I gotta go help Currie pack up his house.........Call a moving company someone. He Gon!!!!!!!

This really isn't a good sign and not cause to rejoice.

If it's true that Currie's final mistake was trying to hiring a quality coach like Mike Leach, what does that say about the type of coaches the administration wanted him to hire?

We are screwed man.

"In a shocking development out of Knoxville this morning, John Currie has been reassigned to Permanent Latrine Orderly for Athletic Facilities" film at 6.

...and you can't spell John Currie without U R I N E.

Please no Fulmer. He's one of the reasons we're in this mess. Has anyone every ****-canned a coach, then brought him back to a position of higher authority?

I said the other day, Fulmer schemed his way to be HC, and now he's been given a foot in the door he's probably doing the same w the AD job.

You are damn right, golfballs. :good!:

So he went against his boss man and got axed.

As I feared.

This wasn't the result of any other boosters revolting.

Exactl....

Or wait...I mean we HAVE TO FIRE CURRIE BEFORE WE MAKE A HIRE....

No to Leach,
No to Belicheck,
No to Saban,
No to Lombardi,

we're f***ed:dry:

Agree. On the verge of hiring a coach which the overwhelming majority of our fan base can get behind, and they pull this ****?

Fire Phil!

And burn down the Krispy Kream on Cumberland. They started all this with that delivery service in 2002.

im assuming he was told to go rogue so they could fire him with cause to somewhat appease folks.

Haslam is punishing the fan base for speaking out against his pedophile sympathizer buddy. Buckle up it’s about to get way worse.

Maybe Currie trying to hire Leach was him trying to show the fans he wasn't the real problem . I stand by what I said get Phil and Manning out of the search asap

Let’s hear from all the guys who loved the Currie hire for AD and ran Fulmer and Blackburn through the mud. How’d that work out for you boys?

I didn't love the Currie hire, thought he was just the guy Haslam wanted here. In the end he's out because he went against Haslam.

Blackburn or any other AD would be taking orders from Haslam as well. Nothing will change as long as the incompetent owner of the Cleveland Browns is running Tennessee's athletic dept.

We, as fans, don't know or understand the forces at play here.

We've been bashing Currie since the Schiano announcement. What if... Currie dug his heels in the dirt and said "Let me hire who I want" and then gets fired. I'd say we owe him an apology. (If it actually played out that way)

If Currie had said that at the start of search and gotten fired, I would be sympathetic. But if he catered to the big booster until yesterday and then went rouge hoping to use fan opinion to keep his job, then forget it.
