The administration apparently didn't want Leach because Leach sued Texas Tech for breaching his contract when they let him go (and Texas Tech objectively did breach that contract). Currie was defying their wishes by talking to them and getting the meeting into the media.

Our administrator's caused this issue when they started undermining Fulmer, and now they won't even pay buy outs or let the AD talk to anyone with a human personality. Why? Knoxville is full of characters. Mike Leach wouldn't even stand out here.

I think it is obvious now that the agenda of some of our "public servants" on the Hill is to destroy our football program due to its outsized place in the fabric of the University.

They may be trying to somehow, someway, be patient with him til he finds another job (sexton come on down) and they avoid the 5 mill buyout.
