Oh and this is why I was SO upset when they announced they had hired Dooley. Never could figure out why they went and rushed to get a no-name, proven loser and all the hile they completely ignored and blew-off Kippy Brown, who I even said I would've prefered to have over Dooley. But being a Vols fan I accepted what it was and supported Dooley, that is until he just kept continuing to prove my original gut feeling right week after week!!!

I think I'll wait for an official announcement, but if true this is almost the nail in the coffin for Dooley. If I were Hart I might seriously consider dumping Dooley and getting an interium for next season because it's looking like next season is now going to suck anyway.

But I totally admit all that was quite knee-jerk, so let's just wait and see.

It's time to retrench, two years after retrenching. So I guess they did not dig the first one right did they? CLT to DC - period! Dooley needs to live or die with a guy that is loyal and has tons of experience. Al Wilson to LB coach - now! He can learn the recruiting game later. That is the way to save this class. Then hire a monster D-line coach - now! Seriously, what big name DC is going to come to UT at this point?

If CHH leaves you lose no recruits. Then Hart gets the next head coach lined up in case it all tubes this next season.

Doubt Dooley is fired.
Thompson to DC, with recently fired/mid major coaches brought in to plug position gaps and hopefully save recruiting class with promises of "potential"

$0 dollar buyout from Wilcox even for a latteral move.

It was removed from his contract when he almost went to Texas as part of the negociation.

I find it terribly disturbing that after a bad season, we have lost our four best coaches. If we were winning, it would make sense. But it really looks like rats jumping off a sinking ship. The curse continues.

I think these guys are worried about job security so they got out before the ship sank. I guess this means if dooley doesn't produce next year then he's gone. That's what I get from this.

SMH CDD will and has to keep this recruiting class together. He better start calling Randy Shannon now!!

This class will largely disintegrate on the defensive side in the coming days IMO. My guess is that it falls well outside the Rivals or Scout Top 25....maybe even outside the Top 50. Sirmon and Wilcox are going to a more stable, up and coming program. I've always thought Dooley deserved three years, but with horrible mismanagement of personnel, game management, staff, recruiting and total lack of improvement on the offensive side of the ball....I think his time here should be done. Get ready Vol fans....this is the new norm for the next several years unless we pull a major coup and hire a big time HC away from somewhere.
