Breaking News: FBI Reopening Investigation Into Clinton Emails

You do understand your candidate should be in prison right now. You do understand that, right?

His being pissed off is not a legitimate reason to do this.

Right? Can we at least agree that politics should not enter into his decision making?

To disclose that it is being looked at.

I agree.

The effect of saying they are looking at it now is to falsely make it appear there is an issue. It's the equivalent of saying ten days ahead of the election that Trump is the subject of a tax fraud investigation, but saying we'll tell you why, in about a month.

Bump.

They did investigate earlier to the tune of "that's all there is," "I don't recall," "we've turned it all over to you (except what we think we destroyed)," etc. The Clinton team wasn't forthright, they didn't cooperate, and unfortunately for them, they were't as smart as they thought they were.

Pretty much anybody with a brain knew the Clinton team was lying, but the FBI had to back off because of politics. For anyone else the security issue would have been open and shut - they failed to secure sensitive information - whether it was intentional doesn't enter into the equation for mere mortals. For anyone else Wikileaks would have cooked them more well done than Watergate did Nixon. Well, somebody opened the door on an unrelated issue, and skeletons apparently came tumbling out of the closet.

It really looks a lot worse now; they should have been honest in the beginning and then decided if they could repair the damage rather than risk a last minute situation like this. The Clinton team owns this one because of the way they played the game. But then politics is one big game of deniability and damage control because it's all about how to gain and keep power rather than an honest effort to manage a country for the good of the citizens.

Doofus, the emails on the laptop were known of weeks ago. Not the original issue.

Appears he put his own arse ahead of the country. Not a good quality in an FBI Director, IMO

Comey couldn't win either way. Best course of action would've been for the Secretary of State to not play loose with classified information and trigger an investigation

How do you determine someone's land?

Here we go again, all the Marxist trying to tell me the government owns the land.

Private property signs, no trespassing signs, having a house on the land, those are great starters.

If there's disputes, like I said, the government should have a role in arbitration. But that's it.

She told him it was a bad idea.

Because it was a bad idea.

Okay, let's hypothetical this one...

Say he doesn't inform Congress and those emails found on the third party (yes, THIRD party) contain some extremely damaging information that should never be outside a government server. It's going to come to light eventually either through leaks or the case against Weiner.

And then? Then we have an ongoing investigation against the (presumably) incoming President of the United States. And you want to tell me how that will be unbiased? Good grief, LG, can you take off your partisan glasses for one minute and see this transcends political parties and your thoughts this is retaliation from something over 40 years ago? We are talking about the heart of what you swear to uphold.

Ouch.

What are you talking about?

So I can go put up no trespassing signs and build a shack and now I can claim your land?

What government? With no borders, who determines the land owner?

DING! DING! DING!

We have a winner, folks!

When have I said we shouldn't have a government?

Without border control (not without borders, they're needed for legal jurisdiction) the land owners are determined by contracts made between the people.

Governments role is that of an arbitrator for these contracts. For example: if you don't pay me, the government may decide that I should get my land back

You're so cute.

Who is to say it was your land first? They're my no trespassing signs.

OK, your conspiracy call, then. Maybe there was a revolution brewing in the FBI - the rank and file finally had enough to to review the call on the field and they were ready to eject Comey from the game - maybe a leak or an all out call of BS.

Cover-ups have a real habit of getting uncovered sooner or later, and to the chagrin of many the timing isn't usually optimal. At that point, people start deciding which side they are going to be on; and for Comey to be hedging his bets rather than continuing all in on Clinton or his ability to keep the lid on, he must have some definite concern about what the FBI now has.

If they have such information, they should say so. If not, then just putting that chum in the water is irresponsible at best, under the circumstances.

So our country would be better if the President Elect is under investigation?

C'mon...

Pointing fingers at Comey by Clinton and her supporters crying about the timing of the letter is a red herring at best. A failure to notify by Comey would have left Congress and the people with the the false impression that the investigation was over per his announcement in July and in essence be untruthful to the the American public. If Hillary and her supporters were sincere in their plea for full disclosure, they should be appreciating the fact that Comey was correcting an inaccurate statement that became untrue last week.

No, a conspiracy is multiple people. This is one guy, sitting on this until max effect on election, and ignoring instruction from his boss.

This is starting to look awfully convenient.

Bet you didn't have a problem back Bush and Clinton were running against each other, or were you a little boy?

Karma is a betch.

I love Trey Gowdy..he shook his head when they showed the Harry Reid clip.."I'm glad he's retiring"

Gowdy: on Harry Reid "I didn't know mormons used drugs because you'd have to be under the influence to send out that press release"

Reid is just another part of the corrupt machine that Hillary is a part of. And when he goes back to Nevada after his last day in offfice, I'll be happy to post the Curly Bill pic.
