From the outside, this whole search process reeks of incompetence at a staggeringly high level. There is a lot we don't know and likely will never know about how this sh!t show unfolded. I've never hired a football coach, but I doubt I could screw up the effort any more than these people have.

We should summon the same level of passion and outrage we did on Sunday to demand a full accounting from the people responsible for this debacle.

Most of the time the school pays the buyout......at least most of it.

Sometimes the coach pays the buyout

If the school were to pay all of the buyout, that school would want to factor some of that money into his first contract.

there was also a 900,000 buyout from Brohm's last job, which Purdue paid, but is considered a loan to Brohm.

1. Brohm was not willing to pay any of the buyout
2. Brohm was not willing to take "less money" to compensate for Tennessee paying the buyout.
3. Tennessee refused to pay the 900,000 which was basically a loan to Brohm.

Prob has to be one of these reasons.

Honestly why would anyone be excited about Brohms? Very mediocre record at Purdue, people act like 6-6 is a major accomplishment; it's not. They did it in '11 and '12. If we make this hire it just goes to show Haslam is once again controlling the decisions and Currie is just along to faciliate the paperwork. We are getting trolled by the Haslams once again and it's another coaching search farce after coaching search farce. For **** sake, do none of the other big-time boosters even care at this point?

We know at this point Jimmy Hyams is just a mouthpiece for Haslam. Or rather Currie, who is a mouthpiece for Haslam.

Who are these "we know" psychics? This post is just like those who "knew" we were about to hire a "child molesting facilitator" with no credible proof of those allegations.

Seriously, you are a college coach, and you've watch the John Currie show for the past month, especially last week. Are you going to come work for this guy?
