*****Breaking: Multiple reports that Brohm announcement is premature

As much as I want Brohm does anyone else feel at ease if it fails bc the chances of getting rid of the Haslems and Currie get higher?

We need to rid ourselves of Currie regardless. Haslam is a good booster but his influence in regards to football are detrimental to the university. Every fan knows his game now and basically had enough.

How is this debacle in any way Curries fault? I think we are at a point where everyone in Voll nation needs to take a collective breath and step away from the keyboard/cellphone for the rest of the day and return to this in the morning.

Social media is a powerful tool and we are seeing what happens when the sword cuts the other way here.

How is it Currie' s fault? You make me laugh.

What!?!?!?! How in the heck is this debacle not Currie's fault!!! Its Currie's process. We are here from his process. The one guy he definitely almost landed didn't meet a single criteria he listed.

You aren't even being close to reasonable by claiming Currie's not at all at fault.

From Clay Travis...

I am told that UT AD John Currie made an offer to Jeff Brohm that Brohm accepted. Currie then asked the chancellor to approve the offer — buyout included — and chancellor said no. So Currie went back to Brohm with lesser offer and Brohm said no. So here we are.

It’s a current power 5 head coach that has been mentioned before, but very little.

What conference we looking at? I mean say If we was looking at a conference that had a coach we would be excited to have where would we start looking?

I tell ya what don’t name a conference put us in a general direction.

I am simply amazed that the AD and friends have had this much trouble hiring a coach that wants to come to Tennessee. How about hiring a coach that does? Tee Martin?..... give the man a chance. Stop screwing around with this. Or ar least give it to Fulmer?

3:27 Jimmy Hyams on the radio said his report on Brohm was erroneous. He was told that talks broke down over the $5 million dollar buyout. The two sides could not agree on who would pay it.

That sounds a little bass ackwards to me. Shouldn't Currie talk to Bev first then offer low and then let Brohm say no? Then come back with bigger offer and then Brohm agrees. Oh, they're both under Haslam control and C.Travis is reporting this. Now I'm beginning to get the picture.:loco:   :boredom:

sweet baby jesus we are so stupid

and people wonder why we protested.

we have a completely inept administration. a local media that's full of morons....and all of it is controlled by one guy that is a damn idiot in all things football.

why on Earth do we continue to do this to ourselves at this point???

we're the dumb ones for continuing to pledge our allegiance to this cluster f***.

I guess we should just shut it down and raze the stadium. We will lose the entire recruiting class because of the actions of "fans" of UT.

OK

I can assure you Shaw isn't jumping into this mess
Helton........lol OK
Chryst.....he is Wisc
Meyer......yea OK
Dabo........is the new Saban
Richt......he got his alma mater rolling
Smart.......no no he is smart
Gus......if he goes anywhere it will be Ark....but he stays
Patterson just accepted a new contract
Riley........just took over for OK and prob in the playoff

So....you think it is Fisher.....really.......he is A&M bound......they can match $ and don't have this mess.

Any...........ANY other name could be announced NOW........and if there was this mythical coach already lined up.....why on earth would anyone let this mess continue, over & over?

One way or the other......the total would have been 5.9 mil

Brohm would be on the hook for his last buyout which Purdue took care of.........but per signed agreement it was treated as a loan, which must be paid in full.

This may have not been a Tennessee's prob, but it would make the total sum to whoever 5.9
