A report that Tennessee is set to announce the hiring of Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm is premature, sources tell VolQuest.com

No deal has been reached or is close to being finalized at this time, per sources. Tennessee has had ongoing discussions with Brohm, and the coach has been on the road recruiting for Purdue today.

As the coaching search continues, Tennessee appears to be regrouping Wednesday following Mike Gundy’s decision to stay at Oklahoma State. Tennessee did have a conversation with SMU coach Chad Morris late Tuesday evening and sources say that Morris could remain a candidate for the opening. Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele continues to be a name menionted behind the scenes as well.

to me this says that someone leaked this to Hyams on purpose just to make Currie look like a bigger idiot.....whoever did this we are all grateful

lol everything about this program is completely effed. Thanks Haslams, you guys did a great job bringing in Currie, he's even managed to ruin the reporters close to the program.

Good God this is a freakin embarrassment. Hyams goes on ESPN who is already bashing us like we are trash and says this is a done deal and we have reports it isn’t and maybe they haven’t even talked. Wth

Just what we need more fuel to the circus fire - this is complete insanity.

We can’t beat anyone in the SEC or even hire a **** Coach
