I think it's a better than 50 percent chance he comes here now. I just hope they get the defensive pieces they need to help him out.

Still a big question - cortland was going to be too expensive relative to what he'd produce on the field in this new system. We've got young talent in the secondary (Verner Tommy Campbell) that need coaching - also bullish on our LBs. I'm excited for next year I think with a A+ RB, A receiving corps and a B QB we'll be able to put up points when our young D throws up all over themselves as they will from time to time.

he is going to Denver, the Titans thing is a PR ploy for both him and the Titans. Titans really arent that close to competing and why on earth you would bet that much $ on ANYONE (PM included) w 3 -4 neck surgeries in 9 months is CRAZY.

Yea winning 9 games a season in which the entire coaching staff is new, not to mention a new QB. That's not close to competing at all.

Peyton Manning Tennessee Titans Denver Broncos 031312 - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN

Between Tennessee and Denver...

And I don't care what anyone says.. I've thought about it, and this is huge pub for the Vols and puts (let's face it) a currently irrelevant program on the map... You have to think, today ESPN went to the streets of Nashville to see the "Manning Fever" with street fiddle players playing Rocky Top and everyone saying COME HOME!.. If this happens for the Titans, alot will be said about him returning back to Tennessee where he played in college. 50/50 chance I think atp

They did the "manning fever" thing in Denver to. Btw, I was kinda embarrassed by some of the folks ESPN chose to put on tv.

Thats usually the case no matter which station its on...

Its usually the 350 lb toothless woman, or the man with the mullett. Seems like TV always spins us Tennesseans as inbred hillbillies.

I don't know that I'm buying the Titans in PM's final 2.. The main reason is that he was supposed to meet with them yesterday but it didn't happen.. According to an article I read, he is supposed to visit today. How could he have the Titans as a finalist when he hasn't even talked to them in person. He spent like 5 hours meeting with Arizona over the weekend (or maybe it was Monday?)..

Anyways, I'd like to see him come home, but I ain't putting any stock in these rumors yet..

LOL!!!! They had a better record than Denver last year.

THINK before you speak and make a fool of yourself.

Denver didn't just make it to the playoffs - they won in the playoffs too. And Denver's D is better than the Titan's D.

And titans offense is light years ahead of Denver. If they came anywhere close of giving up 19 pts a game like last year Peyton wins 13. Defenses won't be able to stack box and Chris Johnson in the running and passing game would be unstoppable.

Maybe his wife wants to come back to Tennessee. Don't under estimate the wife's influence.

When comparing the two teams ( and this is just my opinion and really the only opinion that will matter is Peyton's) the biggest difference maker between the two are the defenses. I would love for him to come to Nashville, because that would give me a reason to come up and watch games there, but imo Denver is in a better position to make a run than the Titans and with one or two receiver off season pickups, they become a frontrunner imo. That young defense of theirs should have a very, very good this season coming up especially with Del Rio as DC. Just my .02

Denver's defense stepped it up in the second half of last year for sure, but much of that was attributed to the scheming of their DC, Dennis Allen....who is now the coach of the Oakland Raiders. I know they got Del Rio, and Fox is defensive-minded also, but that defense has put together exactly one half of one season of solid play in the past like five years.

I don't know....I just don't think Denver is very good. They needed multiple MIRACULOUS wins to finish at 8-8, one game BEHIND the Titans. I think any way you slice it, the Titans are the better football team right now. That fact, coupled with all the love Peyton has for this state and this area, and his wife being from here, his familiarity with the division, etc etc....and I can't help but think the Titans got a real shot at him.

You will make your money back a couple ways

1.) jersey sales will go up
2.) though games are sold out a sell out crowd is not always showing up hurting concession profit

The average game will gross over $1.5 million in concession. The gross my jump to 2 or 2.5

Jersey sells would be rediculous.

If the Titans sign manning they will make their money back

Anyways this is a win-win for Vols fans. Either 1. He comes back to TN to play or 2. He takes the starting job away from a Florida Gatah
