Breaking down UT/UGA keys to the game

I hate to say it, but i think the keys to the game go like this:

(a) does Georgia's team make it to the stadium on time?
-- Yes : UGa by 25+ pts
-- No : see step b

(b) does Georgia's team make it to the stadium by halftime?
-- Yes : UGa by 7+
-- No : see step c

(c) does Georgia's team make it to the stadium by mid-4th quarter?
-- Yes : UGa by 1+
-- No : Vols by 7 (unless Maurer starts, then Vols by 14)

No because we have not played a respectable game all season, especially against Sun Belt teams.

Playing against the #3 team in the nation isn’t going to magically change anything.

But it could. There’s no reason to be so down and out about it. Lots of things can go a lot worse tha. Football

Interesting that if another hasn't played well this year then it means bad things for them but when we haven't played well this year, then it is a postive....against the #3 team in the nation that has flat out owned us in recruiting and on the field the past two years and getting ready to be three years?

1. Turnovers-UT has to come out on the better end of turnovers. Fromm has yet to throw an interception this year, he’s super conservative. If UT can be +2 that improves their chances tremendously.

2. Starts in the trenches. Darrell Taylor needs to be DT of last year and continue his success against UGA. He had a monster game last year with 3 sacks going against Isaiah Wilson who is banged up and playing on a bum leg, advantage Taylor. Solomon needs to show up and show why he was so highly rated, he will be pumped to go against UGA with their history. OL needs to find rhythm and stay on the field with the running game.



4. Simple throws, UT has a big advantage at WR and TE, quick easy passes (regardless of who is QB), perhaps a WR reverse or wildcat package for Jennings.

5. Score early, this is a must. Cannot get behind and expect to come back, UGA will just become a BOA and squeeze the life out of you with the run game.

Defense must step up, offense is very, very close. NFL WRs, NFL TE, NFL RBs, 3 5 stars on the OL that are progressing game by game. UT can be a V8, all cylinders are mentioned in this paragraph. Unfortunately, the engine is missing a Very important piece, the spark plugs. Without a QB, this engine can’t run. Find a spark plug, and it’s off to the races.

3. UT ranks 13th in the league in most categories in run defense (YPC, YBC, YAC, YPG) and UGA is #1 in the SEC in all of those same categories. Load the box, UGA’s weakness is the WRs, mostly inexperience, and lack of knowledge in route running and very little cohesion with Fromm. Fromm can beat you, just make him do it, if he does, tip your hat but you have to put it on him. More passes, freshmen WRs, more opportunities that they run the wrong route resulting in a turnover.

I seriously question if you have watched a UGA game this season....

Because no team has ever put it together and played well but hey we’ve already lost so just pop some popcorn and relax everything’s fine

Yeah, pretty much. What have we shown this year that even comes to being able to beat an elite team? We are the worst team in the SEC and it's really not close.

Absolutely nothing but that doesent mean I’m going into the game thinking we’ve already lost. That’s just silly.

They are extremely talented but if you look at the team as a whole, that is the one spot that doesn’t have multiple experienced playmakers. Pickens and Blaylock will All SEC before their time is up, Jackson returning tomorrow will provide that group a boost. Getting DRob and KJ healthy will be paramount for that November gauntlet.

Yes. Agree they lost alot to the League. After Holloman was dismissed they really were thin going into the season. Cager is an experienced playmaker and had several catches vs Notre Dame. Wolf also brings experience and had a nice game against Murray St. Yes, agree the question mark going into the season was the WRs. However, I think as a whole the group has performed more than admirably for what they have been asked to do.

Any chance we can raise the temperature in their pink locker room to 120 degrees and spike their lukewarm Gatorade with Benadryl?
