I can definitely see that happening too. Will be interesting to see if or how much Kirkland's injuries will hurt his play. Hopefully not at all. I'm wondering what LB position JJ Peterson will play also. Not sure if him or Ignont have better coverage skills if maybe they could get some 3rd looks. Or if Bituli has improved that part of his game. Figure we will be in the Nickel more than anything, so who takes Gaulden's spot there? NG and the other DE spot opposite of Phillips will be other position battle's to watch. The Coach's have their work cut out.

I’m interested to see how they use Peterson also. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him moved around a lot situationally.

I'm not sure how much Bituli and DKJr will be on the field together, both play the Mike LB and Sapp has the Will LB on lock. I don't see Bituli not starting, so I'll be curious how DK Jr is used. That could have been one of the reasons he was looking to transfer, but will be interesting how they use Kirkland. Taylor and Kongbo at OLB will be huge factors to go along with Bituli, Sapp and DK Jr. Phillips, Gooden,D.Johnson and A.Johnson will also be big factors on the Defense. I'm not sure if Gooden plays DE or NG, but I can see him starting at DE opposite of Phillips or pushing Tuttle at NG.

It wouldnt surprise me to see sapp and Bituli switching in and out. Kirkland is the best by far but injs man. Also let’s no act like sapp or Bituli can’t bump out to play jack.. Bituli for sure can and sapp is versitile AF.. Kongo and Darrel Taylor gonna be battling for pt.. We might just see Kongo wash out. My backer core would be Bituli/sapp at jack, inside Kirkland and sapp/ Bituli ( A gap reasons ) and taylor at Sam.. with a sapp and Bituli switching at will per down and distance. Dkjr and Bituli must be on the field imo to make this defense go but that’s just my thinking. I’m also curious to see how this plays out

I believe that we will be ok. There were times that our defense looked good. I still think with 89 days to go, they will be ready. :dance2:
