BREAKING: Cuonzo to Cal

People signed a petition when we were sitting at like 8-7 in the SEC and upper 50's-lower 60's in RPI. Hindsights 20/20.

Do you not read KSR? Your rednecks had Cal on calvary's cross after the UF regular season finale. I'm sure those same rednecks were jacking off to Calipari posters last Monday morning.

Yep....don't need a cat fan telling us how to act. I for one never was calling for Martins head. Never....but didn't like where we were going. Until the ship was somewhat righted. Cats fans were all over Cal....until he did the same. Don't need Cat fans telling us anything.

I don't really give a rip about basketball... but isn't this what alot of you wanted?

We'll have to overpay for a coach and probably have a smaller pool to pick from since the fanbase went full retard.

The meltdown when UT hires a nobody will be fun to watch. It'll hurt, but it'll make me crack a smile at all of the people who wanted this.

This is a blessing in disguise for the University of Tennessee Basketball program! Bring on Ben Howland! Brighter days are ahead. Not next year but will be in 2015!!!

Gonna be harsh here, but you got what you deserved. You signed a freakin' petition for his removal. He took your team to the Sweet 16, which is good for your program.

Gregg Marshall, or any great coach with a desire to stay employed more than 2 years, is not walking through that door.

Don't give us that crap, If he had been the coach at UK you would've fired his ass LAST year for the results we got here...Don't come in here with all your high and mighty bull s***.

In trying to quote your post, I accidentally "liked" it. #Irony Lol.

Anyway, we'll see how right he is. I actually think we upgrade.

Well thanks. :)

We may upgrade, but if history tells us anything, it will be by accident. Not because we paid top dollar to bring in a proven winner.

And I really hope im wrong.

Early names I want UT to consider, because Gregg isn't coming: Archie Miller (Dayton), Keith Dambrot (Akron), Brad Underwood (Stephen F. Austin), Michael White (Louisiana Tech).

Martin knew he would be hard pressed to duplicate this year's team and he'd probably be in the exact same hot seat next year. He got out while he could. He probably didn't feel appreciated and it's obvious that he wasn't Hart's hire so that always causes some problems.

We'll recover. Maybe not short term, but eventually if the UT Admin doesn't have its head up its ass. Next year was going to be tough either way. Hopefully, Hart can make a good hire. We'll see. I'm more concerned if a guy like Richardson will leave the program if he's on target to graduate and play his final year somewhere else.

OK - now we get to see Bama Dave in action on this one. He had such a great track record of hiring basketball coaches at East Carolina - well, maybe not. For sure he had a great record of it at Florida State - not so much it seems. Well, we know he handled things at Bama for basketball - lol.

Now is his last chance to get basketball right at a place he has control. Get it done. The best available. No wannabes.

He should have hired Bruce when he could and now it's to late. Auburn has a winner.

Screw off, you guys were freaking calling for Cal's head this season. Hell, I saw several threads on RR calling for you guys to pursue Bruce Pearl.

Zo knew his stock was about to take a major hit and cashed in his chips.

Maybe we should go after Cal. He might enjoy beating Kentucky after how their fan base acted.

Also, Brad Stephens is having it rough so far in Boston. Wonder if he'd entertain an offer to get back into college.
