Now I'm confused. I wasn't disagreeing with you. I literally asked if corn meal was flour and took your word for it. That's why I answered for hominy, grits and polenta.Okay, corn meal is not a flour. I don't care. Shrimp Scampi is not a pasta and Osso buco is different than Ossobuco.

I don't know what ossu buco is, nor ossobuco
Lulz.
Dude, the culinary arts are no different than so many other things, a lot of the times there is no definite answer and it depends on who you ask and also how a question is asked.
Is a tomato considered a vegetable? Yes it is. But because most consider it a vegetable doesn't mean it is.
I consider cornmeal flour. I can use it just like flour but use a leveler instead of yeast. Is it real flour? Is a prawn really a shrimp? A geoduck a duck?
so yer anti-tomato? wtfAm I weird because I don't want tomato anywhere near my salad? If you put a tommy toe in there, I'm going to eat them first to get them outta the way (I won't just waste them) but I don't want to taste it with the rest of the salad.
Gotcha on the flour. I didn't know that it was such a vague area. I get it though. There's sooooo much in my field that has multiple names and I can literally be explaining something to my boss and he doesn't get it because my lingo is different than his. Life's funny.
