Im sorry ladies and gents, but Simms just cant get it done. I hoped for the best with this kid, but it is obvious that he cant make the throws.

We have a chance to start a kid who may be the future of this team and get him some experience, how many games do we have to blow with Simms before we play Bray?

Im just wondering if anyone agrees with me.

PS: i know that Simms didnt lose the game today solely (the fake punt was the end for us), but a good QB could have won us the game today, for the sole reason that he can scare a defense and open the running game, which Simms cant do. Simms is hurting our defense, which can be good, but if we dont win the T.O.P we cant win the game. Just my observations from the last two weeks.

Gotta prepare for the future. Agree 100%! When was the last time we had a QB that could captain a game winning drive?

Depth and jones being out has hurt Simms. But I'm not completely sure if the outcome is different if jones is there. I'm torn on the bray vs Simms debate atm.

No they won the battle at the line! Simms was pressured almost every play, couldn't get the run going! Our front 4 could not get the pressure we needed to disrupt brantley! We were simply over powered!

Hmmm, I seem to remember this same argument for Ainge/Crompton & Crompton/Stephens........

I definitely agree. Im just basing this on the observations of the throws where he wasnt pressured.

Really??
a. great job understanding the game better than our coaches
b. no snap trouble with a new starting center
c. no handoff trouble
d. what the hell do you think the over/under on INT's by UF's secondary was on this game? are you really that surprised?

A+ for complaining about a kid doing his best and a coaching staff doing their best to put us in a position to win.

Simms improved in this game...first SEC game.
^This

He made some good plays in the 3rd and 4th Qtrs today after he threw those 2 picks. I think he grew leaps and bounds today as a Qb. He really threw with some power and authority. Too bad his accuracy suffered.

Perfect time to start Bray imo. I don't think it will actually happen, but I'd like to at least see it considered.

yeah, bray looked real good against that high school team we played 2 weeks ago. he's about as ready to compete in the sec as i am. the coaches know what their doing or he would be playing. sorry but our future is in rock hill s c. justin worley will start in 2 years !!! he'll redshirt next year and start in 2012. :clapping:

Do we know how Bray can play in big games? I agree we need to prepare for the future at some point, but if Bray is not ready, he is not ready.

Until we establish the infustructure of your o-line and d-lines we will continue to get pushed around! Late 90 early 2000s we had big powerful lines. When we get that back we start beingcompetitive again!

This.

Still way too early to call for Simms' head. We need to call more plays aswell that play to hisstrengths like rolling him out.

Don't forget Ainge/Clausen and Crompton/Stephens/and Coleman.

The most popular player on the team is always the back-up quarterback

You guys are cliche-ing me to death with that old saw. Was Tee Martin the most popular player in Manning's senior year? Huh? Every fan wants the first teamer to do well. It's not our fault when they are awful. That's just dumb.

We had two freshmen QBs with Manning and Stewart after our QBs got hurt and neither one was as bad as Crompton/Simms. They were still battling to start in our bowl game that year...and both played...but they didn't throw multiple pick-sixes nearly every game like the two above.

No. Bray is struggling with the offense in practice. He is not ready to manage a game in an SEC environment. We got what we got......
