Bray can throw we all know that. But what you don't hear a lot about is whether or not he will be able to scramble, run any kind of QB draw plays for those extra couple of yards, roll out and throw on the run, option, anything. Any insight into whether or not he's worked on that or gotten up any foot speed or balance to help him be a little more of a multi-talented QB?

He can scramble a little bit. I'm not worried about it all that much

He does pretty good at stepping up in the pocket and eluding rushers. He is not a real scrambler or running QB by any stretch.

he can probably do a little rolling out which is predicated on deceiving the Dline as much as the QB having wheels. However, the greatest form of mobility for any QB is the ability to move in the pocket, avoid the rush and make the throw. From what I saw of Bray last year, he has very good instinct in the pocket. Maybe I felt that way because he followed Simms who had no idea what was happening around him.

The great pros (Peyton, Brady, Brees) are not mobile guys but they now how to make subtle movements in the pocjet to buy time.

Brays a pocket passer, but he has a comepletely unnatural ability to feel the press and move the pocket where he wants. It the classic mark of a great pocket passer. He doesn't need to scramble that much

Oh I completely agree. It would just be nice to see him pick up a couple of first downs here and there on the run just to show his diversity

Probably not going to see Bray doing any designed running plays unless it's a sneak

You don't want your beanpole QB getting smashed. I suggest he stay in the pocket and slide to avoid hits...something he has demonstrated uncanny ability at. Him taking off sounds like a good way to ensure Simms gets some quality PT.

I have visions of this if he tries to run any more than that:

Besides his arm strength, it's the best part of his game.

Watch the Ole Miss game. He should have been sacked ten times and avoided a lot.

He can move when he needs to.. I was very impressed last year at his ability to get away from defenders.. lets hope he does not need to show those skills as much this year
